Anbinik Kakadu Resort reviews
63 Pros - good coffee, decent customer service & good location to explore what of Kakadu is actually open.
Cons - basic 2 bed cabin with very uncomfortable beds, external bathroom & no supplies other than instant coffee, tea & sugar. I think they should supply things such as paper towel, tomato sauce, butter, tissues etc. The cabin is poorly built & designed with paper thin walls. The first night we had someone in the adjoining cabin & the noise was so loud it sounded like a herd of elephants walking around & constant banging of doors. You have to open & close the door from the cabin to outside then the door into the bathroom so EVERY SINGLE TIME someone in the adjoining cabin used the bathroom we could hear the doors been loudly opened & closed 4 times. The noise kept us awake until after 11pm. We also had guests in the adjoining cabin on the 3rd night and they woke us up at 5am with the opening & closing of doors. The excessive noise & being kept awake & woken up was infuriating & that in itself was enough for me to never consider coming back and warn everyone about the noise! Another minor thing to mention is that they don’t have any pool lounge chairs.
Went here from Aurora for a meal. Okay. You are in the middle of a great deal of nature and national park. (Both of which are fantastic)
Friendly accommodation in Jabiru. Service was friendly. Great air-conditioned rooms & the swimming pool is nice, with shadr. However, be warned - the bathrooms are outside the main room (& lil heat boxes), the beds are tiny, creaky and uncomfortable. If you have inconsiderate neighbours like we did, you'll be up early to slamming doors, etc. There's not too much between you & your neighbours. There's a great Thai restaurant here - highly recommend the pad Thai! Don't expect 5 star accommodation - this is typical territory living.
Lovely stay and meal here. The manager was so kind and hospitable, Pool was really relaxing and food delicious. A great affordable and central option for traveling around northern Kakadu
One of the nicer accommodations in Kakadu - the private cabins were excellent. Camping/caravan facilities available. 2 min drive from the centre of Jabiru, and on the main road in/out of Jabiru (off the highway). The resort closes over the wet season (low tourist numbers and adverse weather). The owners are really lovely. Pool is on a gorgeous tropical setting. The restaurant serves delicious food for breakfast or dinner - the coconut prawns are to die for
Had dinner here
It was ok
Nothing special
But clean
Very hot sitting outside - no air conditioning
Very friendly staff
Not good for camping- lack of shade (either shady trees or undercover areas like rooved picnic tables), small sites, no camp kitchen. Ok pool, no 'lounge'/'banana' chairs.
Ok. I appreciate the remoteness and the difficulties running a business up here. However. $130 FOR a glamp room.tent/house thingy is what the going rate for budget in town. I hate it when something doesn't work though. Fridge would have been good to have it worked.
I couldn't buy a small meal. Can't even get a small ice cream. I'm single. I don't need three scoops of bloody ice cream. I don't even need 1 but I won't have any.
I just had two entrees. 24 bucks.
Other than that it is ok. Grumpy tonight.
Great oasis in Jabiru. We stayed in a suite but lots of options. Caravan sites (busy) and non air con bungalows. Very good Thai restaurant on site and a tour office. Pool is resort size.
Had dinner at the Thai restaurant. It was tasty and the service was a lot faster than it used to be.
We are staying in a two bedroom cabin with an external ensuite.
Such a comfortable place to be.
The Thai restaurant located here is fabulous.
We stayed in the rooms with the outdoor showers
This was a bit of fun to have shower outside
A little bit more light in room at night would be good
Lots of ants in bed & on bench top
Maybe need to have spray in rooms for guests
Check in was great
All the ladies were lovely
The Thai restaurant had yummy food
It's a shame the grounds were not well looked after
Recommend to stay here
Nice enough, great to have own ensuite had a meal at restaurant and that was nice, just had a bad experience as a tree branch came down missing me thankfully by a few seconds but damaged awning
We had food at the restaurant only, we were pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic thai restaurants in the heart the park, really nice pad thai and yellow curry
We stayed a couple nights and did the 4WD Arnhemlander tour - our highlight of ten days in the NT. Top service, great experience.
Good park. Ensuite sites are good as is the pool. The Thai restaurant is excellent and should not be missed.
My partner and I stayed here during a pandemic! We loved the place. We stayed 3 days. It was comfortable, affordable, clean and the booking and checking in process was all very easy.
We enjoyed the Thai food restaurant also, very tasty meals. This part of Australia is truly splendid and we are so grateful to have been able to see it and enjoy it.
The Thai food was good, but they are scared to add any chilli if you're white. It's ok, some of us white people like really hot chilli too. We don't want to eat "mild, flavourless, Aussie style Thai food. "
This is by far the best food in Jabiru. Offering both dine-in and take away, Anbinik is well-priced, authentic and beautiful tasting food and offers lovely service and great portions.
The suites are outstanding, quiet, high quality. Pool is dated and only the Thai restaurant for food. Food was good but no breakfast options possibly due to Covid. With a bar and pool refurbish this could be a 5 star location in Kakadu.
