Alice Springs Golf Club reviews
48Great view out on the terrace. Food is OK. They have a good wings special. I recommend you try it.
Great place for a family gathering - playground for kids, stunning views, good food and friendly staff.
As a local its one of my favourite places to eat and chill out at.here. The food is yummy! Good atmosphere as well. The views of the east macs is stunning especially at sunset.
This place is a breeze of fresh air.literally and otherwise. Yes! Its jus a golf course. But when it can draw me to make it one of my most favourite spots in town.means there is something special. Not just a nice driving range.where am always at.at lush greens. They have a lovely clubhouse and well equipped pro shop. As we speak my number 3 driver is being fixed by the golf club principal Steven Tieck.the service here is soo personalised and always is. The place has very good amenities and they are kept in tip top condition. The greens are jus an oasis in e desert. Being known as e Red Centre because of the red desert sands.a multitude of red sand almost buries u when there is a dust storm.the golf course is truly an oasis in e desert. I.am learning golf and the pro Steven Tieck is soo supportive and has a good rapport with his customers. The driving range where I spend most of my time practising my swing and drive is nicely set and has enough booths for the whole town. The range has all u need and havin it ooen till late into e night is a very good thing for those that cannot make it during the day or early evenings. I will not comment about the food today as I have a separate post and reviews on the food. Its set in a good space with Mt John providing that McDonell Range façade in e distance. Makes it all soo different from any other range or golf course. Friendly and trendy crowds hang out here too.those who live in Alice know what am talking about here! It is a one stop shop! A must visit for anyone passing through the red centre!
Good food at reasonable prices. Plenty of space for the kids to run around and keep themselves entertained.
Highly recommended
Great, spacious bar & bistro area with superb views across the course & rocky range. Helpful friendly staff & affordable meals & drinks. Close to town with plenty of parking.
I wanted a true Aussie dinner, steak, chips & salad, steak was beautifully cooked, tender, I enjoyed the whole meal. My friend
also thought the same of their meal. I will definitely being going back for more, lovely staff very attentive, service with a smile,
Went there to play golf. The lady at the counter was very helpful. The ambience was nice. The food is alright but overall it was a nice experience.
Alice Springs Golf Club is desert golf, which means accuracy is a must. The golf course isn’t punishingly long, and not overly difficult. However, a good swirling desert wind could provide a much stiffer challenge than the benign winds that we experienced.
The fairways had beautiful angles and offered fantastic great tight lies. The greens were understandably bumpy and somewhat slow due to recent maintenance. While mostly flat, they had some understated undulations and movements that made reading them for the first time difficult. They had trouble short and long, but miss the greens left or right, and you’ll still have chance to save par.
Not all golfers like desert golf. However, there is no arguing that desert golf is beautiful golf! The rich vibrant green grass, the bright blue skies, and the deep dark reds of the bunkers and surrounding desert environment was an explosion of contrasting colors. The kaleidoscope shades of desert red coloring the MacDonnell Ranges seemed to change as the day progressed. The beautiful desert trees and fauna, and the large eucalyptus trees surprised us. And the greenside small pot bunkers looked like something that designer Mr. Peter Thomson plucked from the links courses in the UK that he so loved!
With good value green fees, Alice Springs was a well-conditioned course, and a must-play while in Alice!
Loved it. Course is in excellent condition- especially the greens. Freddy our labradoodle caddied. Cold delicious chardonnay back at the bar. Fabulous backdrop of the MacDonnell Ranges.
I don't go for the golf which is actually a beautiful course, but I hit the 19th hole for cold drinks and a reasonable menu with great service by a young team
Great place, wonderful outdoor seating options, friendly staff. Foods delicious. THIS VENUE DOES NOT ACCEPT CASH, AT THE BAR OR RESTAURANT! Card Only
Had a lovely feed of charred barramundi in a warm, welcoming club experience. If staying at the Desert Palms Resort the clubrooms are a short 150m stroll and well worth the effort.
Fast service, friendly staff and a fantastic view from the back deck make this a pleasant place for a good solid bistro meal.
Goood place to take in a meal.
Good food at reasonable prices.
Typical Golf Club, would recommend.
Had dinner here with a large group. Dinner took so long to deliver that the last person was served well after the first had left. Food was very ordinary.
A beautiful, scenic, good challenging golf course. Great proshop service. Amazing friendly environment.
Bar staff fantastic, kitchen very poor, they couldn’t even adhere to their menu, three of us went there for lunch, ordered at the same time! Mine came out first, long before the others & it was stone cold! When the replacements arrived, they were still wrong! The restaurant had a good reputation once, not now, and the variety, non existent, I go out to eat different things I don’t eat at home. Their menu, burgers or chicken? Really? And they couldn’t even get that right! Very poor quality indeed.
Great views when eating dinner. Basic food. Golf is a dull sport so I have no idea what the course is like
Great meals. Chicken schnitzel huge. Veiw is beautiful, plenty of room inside or out. Variety of food, salmon, pizza. Great choice
