Alice Motor Inn

WiFi down, truly filthy carpet. Empty except for me and some "first nation" people. Gates locked due to high crime in local area. No cover for car in baking heat. Noisy renovation going on.

Beautiful lady at reception and clean buildings. Renovations being done will be more accommodation in future.

Nothing against the owners but the room I stayed in (15) was hands down the worst hotel room I have ever been in. I tried calling around for others but no other accomodation. This should be a negative 3 rating. Room is disgustingly dirty, I didn’t even want to use the shower and considered sleeping in the rental car.
Lights falling off the wall. Busted ceramic shower soap dish that could slice your leg open. Curtains too small and dirty. Carpet has stains and cigarette burns. All the lampshades missing. Kettle has some white scale and black rusted parts floating around in it. Who knows what’s gone down in the beds.

This place is actually really nice. Was dubious because other motor inns I have stayed are a very much last resort but this place is really well renovated. Good features. Could do with slightly comfier mattresses but otherwise really good place to stay.

Loved staying here! Really clean and quiet room in the east side of Alice. The pool was divine at the end of a hot day and the location was safe and residential, providing a sweet spot to rest our heads after a day of adventure. The owners are on site and super friendly, offering lots of insight into the local community and providing plenty of ideas for what to see and do in Alice. Highly recommend.

I've read alot of bad reviews, but the Motor Inn did us well for the night at a time when Alice was booked out for Parmitjama. Yes our room needed a makeover, and I suspect a work in progress is going on. But aircon worked & sheets & pillows were clean and got a sleep. So thankyou.

This motel is in the process of being upgraded and they are really doing it well.
The room was great. Big, comfy with everything you need (plates, bowels, cutlery). Even the power outlets have dedicated USB sockets, including USB-C.
A great shower with a double shower head.
Lovely staff too. Happy to see you and very helpful.
Breakfast is no longer included but that’s okay.
Also the TV was connected to Netflix. Not sure whose account I logged into but hey, it worked.
This place can only get better as they do their upgrades.

Very accommodating owners.
Loved the freshly renovated room including a clean air conditioner.
Just be aware that further renovations are currently on progress.

I had booked & paid for this motel online through wotif.
Got there to book in & all there was, was a construction site, very dangerous.
The motel said very kindly we could have a refund, only through wotif. Well that's obviously impossible, you can't talk to a human, it's all virtual.

Alice springs motor inn obviously doesn’t think Covid exists let alone believe in hygiene when they think rooms like this are acceptable.and still charge $$ for the experience! I won’t tell you what marks I found when I pulled the blankets back someone had a good time before us!

FYI had to use my own bedding/pillows after complaining and receiving new dirty bedding to change the sheets myself.no lights in the dirty bathroom, dirty towels, carpet that looks like it should have chalk outlines and a broken fridge. Pics don’t do it justice (marks aren’t shadows). Nowhere else to stay otherwise I’d have stayed elsewhere. I’ve stayed in some very questionable places, but they were at least clean.

Renovations occurring in rooms either side, potential asbestos that hasn’t been dealt with.

They should be shut down. I’d go negative stars if I could.

My review - dirtier than my swag after a wet Deni.

I arrived when it was dark. There was a definite lack of lighting to locate the letterbox to retrieve the room key. A peg on the drapes to hold the curtains together. Used soap in the shower (and public hair). No remote for the television. I cannot recommend this place to anyone

A GREAT park! Cabins are well set up. Staff very friendly and helpful. Give it a go when next the Alice!

OMG This is awful, I understand Budget Hotel, but I can’t even sleep in the bed, pulled the sheet back & there is some kind of Dead Insect looks like a big maggot, A/c doesn’t work properly, room smells. Fridge doesn’t work. Electric gate doesn’t work. Don’t Stay here.

Was cheaper than other options for a reason Booked for 2 nights but bailed after 1 as I had to return rental car. The place is a building site, a long way from the centre and the bathroom smelled like a urinal. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but this is it. Not sure how old the pictures are and the pleasant walk in to town is not quite. New operators maybe should pull it from sites until the Reno is finished.

My daughter and I were here in 2016, and really injoyed the stay.
Absolutely nice staff and a quite area

One of the worst room I ever have stayed, bin was not clean, room has smoky hole on the carpet, washroom was too dirty and smelly, oh don’t talk about kitchen, kitchen and toilet are in one room which makes you vomiting once you open, there was very rude staff at night who doesn’t wanna help at all.

Dirty rooms old food in fridge stains on sheets. Pool was unswimable. Told the manager wasn't happy and wanted refund which was given in cash. 2days later they used my card details to charge me again. When spoken to was told was because refund procedures wer not followed. What a load of bs that is theft! Eventually got money back. Stay clear of this place

Absolutely awful experience! Stayed here July 2019, reads up okay online but as soon as you arrive everything is downhill from there. We arrived at about 5pm (reception supposed to still be open), waited more than 15 minutes to be served by anyone to get our room key. Finally got into our room, light fittings were hanging out of the wall, 3/4 of the lights didn't even turn on (blown bulbs?), mattresses hard as a rock and don't appear to have been updated since the place was built, woke up extremely itchy (bed sheets not clean?), terrible part of town for feeling secure, "shared kitchen provided" was full of insects and also never been updated, most of the dishes in the kitchen were left dirty, the list goes on. I had taken my farming parents who could count the number of holidays they've had in their lifetime on 2 hands for the trip of a lifetime to the 'Red Centre' and this just ruined the first day of our trip! We had 3 nights booked here and only stayed the 1 night before booking at another motel in town where we had a considerably better experience. I never got my money back for this place due to booking on bookings.com instead of direct through the motel. I'll be remembering this for any future bookings. Do yourself a favour and stay anywhere else in the beautiful Alice but here.

Dont'b tay here! Luckily shuttle bus driver stayed with us.no staff on duty for the next 3 hours the note on the door said.a message was on my phone to say " just call when you get here and we will come up straight away " from where? When we rang the number supplied, the message was "this number is not available" they supposedly had emailed some instructions BUT whilst we were in transit. The shuttle bus driver kindly took us to another motel that suited our needs.less than 1 star for this dump
