Don’t be fooled into thinking that this is a Resort. It is anything but. We had booked onsite accommodation for two nights, but due to circumstances, delaying our arrival, we could only stay one. To be fair, though, we paid for the two nights, nonetheless.
On arrival, we noted the rundown appearance of the place, but thought we would give the place a go.
What we were given for accommodation was an eye opener
Located at the back of the park are rows of old dilapidated ex mining company style SMQ vans. The one we were allocated was at the start of the front row (refer image 1) it, like all the others, was in serious need of a paint job and the area around it a major clean up (refer image 2). There was an old, dirty padded chair outside and it was obvious that the cabin was primarily designed for one person. Inside they had a double bed crammed in, a small table and chair, small bar fridge and tiny shower/toilet area. The fridge freezer compartment was unusable (lord only knows when it was last defrosted) and there was only one tiny window. The set-up may have worked as workers accommodation but not in a park environment.
As for the Camp Kitchen, there was rubbish on the ground and the bbq’s in disgusting condition. The large one had old cooking oil piled up on one corner and was in desperate need of a damn good clean. The second, smaller, bbq was the worst. There were food scraps baked onto the grilling plate that would have required a jackhammer to remove. No one in their right mind would eat anything cooked on it (refer images 4,5, & 6)
The fridges were packed with others, yfood and booze and like everything in this area, in need of a thorough clean.
Lots of permanents in the back section of the park, and a few of the more unsavoury types, seemed overly interested in our arrival, which further unsettled my partner.
Given the state of the place, we decided to take a hit on the money we had paid and so packed up and drove back to Darwin.
Recommended…… NO
Would we return…. Not a bloody chance
This overpriced, rundown so called Resort Caravan Park warrants Zero ️’s

The staff inflated the price for the night. We paid $40 and it's not worth it at all.
3/4 of the campsite is occupied by workers. People burp, spit and scream in the showers.
Nothing to do the dishes.
We don't feel very good there
