We recently spent a week in the delightful ‘Kushu’ cottage at Tintoela. What a find this place is! Every mod-con supplied, including car and local mobile phone, coffee machine, bbq, beautiful food hamper, laundry facilities, etc, all with a stunning view as a backdrop. Thanks to Emma for a lovely meet-and-greet, all the local tips and organizing of the Baunti Tours familiarisation trip. We have already booked our return visit to this magical spot!

We recently stayed at Tintoela in the 2 bedroom Hilli cottage and it was a brilliant choice. After being met at the airport by Emma we were handed keys to a car that we had for our entire stay on the island. We followed her home to our own private accommodation only to find a lovely basket of fruit, beautiful flowers, free wifi, a mobile phone for use on the island and comfortable king size beds in each room with their own ensuite. The cottage was spacious, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay including a washing machine with detergent & clothes dryer)
We also enjoyed using the BBQ while having a wine or 3 on the verandah which overlooked Norfolk Pine wooded hills and the ocean.
Emma, who is so lovely and helpful, also organised a well informed orientation tour of the island for us (with Baunti tours) the next morning which was full of valuable information.
So much Island history and so many things to see and do - a photographers delight. Highly recommend dinner at the Homestead, a trip around the island and Phillip Island by boat, the Fish Fry, and the Trial of the 15. Plenty of great walks including 100 acre forest walk, golf, exploring the penal colony and visiting the many eating establishments.

My parents, Barry & Margaret spent a very relaxing week in Kushu Cottage at Tintoela.
Shawn did the meet and greet at the airport, escorted them to the cottage and did a thorough introduction to all of the amenities.
The cottage was well appointed and very comfortable.
They would certainly love to come back and spend time at Tintoela and explore more of the Island.

Great accomodation, great location, caretaker, Shsun, couldn’t do enough - very helpful. The Norfolk Island lifestyle was brilliant.

We were met by Shaun (the manager) at the airport and followed him back to the cottage so we didn’t have to try and find it ourselves. The cottage is absolutely beautiful with everything you need for your stay including kitchen facilities, a laundry and gear for the beach.
Shaun was so helpful and anything we needed he sorted out ASAP. The grounds are well tended and we met the owners (and their gorgeous puppy) while they were working on the garden and they were so welcoming.
We will definitely be going back.

We are just back from a week at Norfolk Island staying at Tintoela homestead. It was a first visit for us and we loved it! Our host Shaun picked us up at the airport and made us feel instantly welcome. We followed him in the rental car to the house. Wow, up on a hill overlooking the green and lush hills with a view to the ocean. Really good quality accomoodation equiped with everything we needed. The wild chicks were so sweet running around the garden. Remember, cows have right of way! Out of 101 things to do we did a few bush walks around Mount Pitt with great views across the island and ocean, the local market and produce with excellent avocados and so sweet bananas, visiting the Landing Place and Kingston with the prison ruins, doing a tour of Colleen McCullough's home. Cyclorama is a very impressive display depicting the history from Bounty leaving England, Pitcairn and the early life at Norfolk Island. Fishing was excellent but it is weather dependent, I was very lucky to be out on two beautiful offshore days. Catching lots of nice sweetlips and kingfish, fish for dinner almost every night.
