High Tide Kitchen reviews
14The fish was amazing here and the staff was really friendly. One of the best places on the island.
I'm a little reluctant to review this cafe.
Mainly because, the staff are so nice here. Polite, friendly and helpful.
The venue is lovely and clean. Service was quick, however there weren't many people at the time.
The food, for the price, was a below average
This cafe has recently reopened after an extended closure under new ownership.
Meal was edible but not the best I've had on the island. Coffee was very bitter in taste which ruined my morning.
The man serving could do with a little injection of pleasantry as he's not the cheeriest of people.
This is a good place to have a quick snack and a drink. On the main street of Burnt Pine place seems to be busy but has a very friendly and fast service. Recommend to try the chicken and pineapple toast.
A very busy cafe restaurant located on the main road through town. There was a small queue for lunch, but it moved quickly and I got to enjoy a local Pulled Pork wrap. A decent choice for breakfast or lunch.
This place does awesome coffee, home made cheesecake and fantastic breakfast. My fav was eggs benny (sadly no photo taken) and this pic is of runner up - breakfast cereal. Every meal I had was a bit too big for me to finish so IMHO portions are very generous. This is also the only (pretty sure) place on the island that remains open throughout the day aka doesn’t shut between lunch and dinner. Except for 2 days indicated on their page. Staff is friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!
Good meal and coffee choices, but if going for lunch, get there early. We arrived at 13: 45 and they had stopped taking orders
Great food! Friendly service! Long open hours! Everyone in our group visited this place more than once
We stayed in the Aloha Apartments next door. We ate at the High Tide several times. The service and food was always first class. Every order was value for money. We will stop in there on our next trip. Thankyou to the staff at High Tide.
Sadly the staff here believe that chicken is not meat. So I was very disappointed at opening my take away soup to find it full of chicken when I had specifically asked if there was meat in the "soup of the day" and been told "No". It was on Easter Monday so I had to pay an extra surcharge for something I could not eat.
On returning the following day I was rudely dismissed by the server and told I would have to speak to whoever had served me the night before. As I was visiting the Island for only 1 week it was not an activity high on my agenda.
Given the lack of knowledge about food categories and the lack of customer service by the staff I would not recommend this restaurant.
Always good value for money prompt friendly service and good range of local food with a friendly atmosphere.
The chicken burger was quite good but the amount of food and sometimes the quality left quite a lot to be desired, however it's a great place to meet up with people for a coffee or drink cause the beverages are heavenly a really great coffeeshop
One of few places that serve lunch for some reason
However since I base my review on food cause that's what I've been getting there mostly I'll have to rate slightly sup-par
Great value for money, better burgers than the Fish and Chook shop and friendly local service with a smile
They couldnt make the burger i asked for so i ordered another one takeaway but they came out eat in, also ordered two milkshakes and they took like 30mins to be made.
