D best malatang soup I ever had so far lots of people at night, cant complain, highly recommend

Classic bone soup is classic for a reason. Can't find any fault in it and delicious as always!

It was busy when I went there today. I asked the lady at the cashier for help with making the dipping sauce. The staff member was so friendly as she kindly showed me what to put in even if it was quit busy at the time. The classic Malatang was good. My 3 year old son had a mushroom based soup. I think he enjoyed it.

I eat Zhang Liang quite often in China. I thought it would be so bad in Australia, but I didn’t expect it to be so bad. The basin where the food was served was full of water and the tongs were dirty. The checkout attendant didn’t say anything and put the number on the table. If not After eating Zhang Liang, I really didn’t know I needed a number plate.

In my opinion the best malatang place in Sydney. There is huge variety of ingredients to choose from, all are very fresh and of good quality. The classic soup is hearty and full of flavor. Also there’s a complimentary condiments bar if you prefer an extra kick of flavor. The place does get busy and there might be some wait to get seating.

I passed by Zhang Liang many times and it was always crowded. I finally made the decision to go into the store to taste it. What was most surprising when I entered the store was that there were three large refrigerators of ingredients to choose from! Not surprisingly, I clipped too much haha. Next, I think the best part is the friendly service of the waiters outside, and they can speak both Chinese and English very smoothly.
This time I chose to use a takeaway box but I enjoyed it in the store.
It tastes really delicious and I will recommend it to my friends! I will definitely come back for my second visit, I really recommend it

I like the food because there are many choices and fast serve (self service) but something i don't like it is there is no waiting list, so we come and have to quickly get a seat ourselves

Had dinner there today and notice that my bowl seemed unusually expensive. So asked them if the scale is calibrated correctly. Upon checking it wasn't and was off by 200g. Thats $8 over charged. Infact, everyone who at there at that particular dinner hour rush was probably over charged by 209g. Who knows how long this has been going on for.honest mistake? I don't think so as the default wight of the empty bowls should be tattooed into their routine. It was a full house and to overcharge $8 per customer? You do the math.

Being overcharged by 200g/ $8 tonight due to the mistake on the scale during dinner. I have to ask the staff to weight the empty bowl to prove their scale is not adjusted correctly. I was sensitive enough to point that out but who knows how many people before me have been overcharged.

Prawns are off. They should wash plastic spoons properly before they put it in the tray. Tried to pick a clean one. It is almost impossible. Greens are so over cooked that they almost melted into the soup.

Best cheap hot pot that I’ve had in Sydney! You get to choose everything that you add in individually, as well as your broth flavor. There’s a small sauce bar on the side to add in soy sauce, oyster peanut or different types of sauces and condiments like fried chickpeas or chives. I love it here! You can get soy milk or soda there too. Great place for a casual friend date. Good healthy & not as healthy options to add in.

Selling tons of options for soup or dry malatang with great taste.
The price is $17 per 500 gr for wet malatang and $20 per 500 gr for dry malatang.
Dry malatang would take longer to be done about 15 to 20min.

Cold bottle drinks are available for $3,5 per bottle and free refill water in a cup.
Take away box will be charged 50c.

Condiments and sauces are variations for self-service on the next station.

Sitting tables are available indoors with air conditioning and outdoors.

I like this place for quick noodle that you can put anything you want and pay at front of the counter you can choose 6 different soup to go with your noodle.

The things are so variety but the place looks unclean and the labels of foods are confused.

Nice place to eat cheaper place I love protein so I make my soup with a lot of protein octopus prawns chicken beef pork soup was amazing not a spicy at all I love the service really simple really delicious and enough to fill me up the whole after

I've eaten here heaps of times before and it's been fantastic. Great flavour, quick and easy. It's why I come back. I rate it as a 5 star place.

However, this time I went in person and ordered takeaway. I could see so many other customers getting their orders before mine even though they had ordered after me.

I did go up and ask at the 40 minute mark if I had missed my order (thinking the buzzer didn't work) was just told it wasn't ready yet. So disappointed in the wait time it makes the meal not seem worth it and left me questioning if I want to return.

Edit: went up again at the hour 15 mark. Still not ready and asked for my money back. Walked out without again.

Waited almost half an hr for my food and everyone who ordered after me got their food before me and the staff were so rude will never come back again.

Easily the best malatang in Sydney. The soup is on point and isn't too heavy with the taste of Chinese root herbs and spices like some other places. It's almost too addictive and of all the malatang places, this has one of the biggest and most diverse ingredient options. Suitable for people who are just after meat, they have a whole bar of marinated meats and frozen meat and for the more adventurous, a vast selection of animal innards and classic Chinese hotpot ingredients. There's something here for everyone and it will always end in joy and satisfaction.

I ordered tomyum flavor and it was good but a bit salty for me. Friendly staffs, cleaned and variety toppings to choose. Defo will be back.
