Admittance is only by appointment on weekends and holidays. Met Donna the owner and personal caretaker who has personally nurtured the animals and designed the enclosures for a beautiful Sanctuary. Emily our guide was knowledgeable and a wealth of information and answered all our questions. She gave us food to feed the animals for your personal up close contact. The animals include colorful macaws, lions, tigers, and baboons. The Marmoset and Meerkat exhibits were the most enjoyable watching these small fury creatures romp in their native environments. Hubby took an encounter with the Meerkats where he fed them worms and berries - a lifetime memory and wonderful photographic opportunities. The retreat relies solely on donations and animal loving volunteers to run the place. So if you want to contribute and get a private narrated tour among the animals without crowds, then this is the place to fulfill your animal experience.

Great place to visit! Donna and her team is doing amazing things for the animals in their care! Highly recommend paying a visit to Zambi! (And have a go at feeding the big cats if you’re game!)

Great experience, thoroughly recommended if you would like to see some unique and endangered animals. The dedicated team are doing an excellent job of providing this option for animals that would otherwise face a sub-optimal future.

What a wonderful day my family and friends had at Zambi recently. It is so nice to see all of these gorgeous animals living their retirement years in such a caring and loving environment. The "encounter" experience was extra special. Loved it! Thank you to the lovely staff.

Took my husband here for his birthday and had a great experience! It was fantastic to be so close to the animals and see the amazing work these lovely people are doing and how well they are looked after. My husband did the hand feeding of the tiger and the marmoset experience and he loved it! The guide was really nice and gave us lots of great information. Would highly recommend checking it out and supporting a great cause.

This is a unique place which provides an extraordinarily experience with the big cats.
ZWR is a non-for profit organisation. There is an ongoing improvement and the result is promising for a bright future.

Take the family and the kids for a very exciting trip.

I love to go there again.
