YUMIAO cat cafe reviews
31One of the few cat cafes in Sydney, and relatively large too! Yumiao is wonderful and situated against a brightly-lit window for a relaxing atmosphere. You get greeted by a lot of cat personalities - some are cheeky, or shy, or playful haha. Each 45min sesh booking comes with a free drink, and they are generous with the beverage sizes and offers a 50c upsize. Their grapefruit ice tea was so refreshing, highly recommend!
A really beautiful cafe with great staff, and very sweet cats. It's obvious the cats are taken care of and are very happy. Will be coming back<3
Absolutely loved it, the catering and drinks were amazing, there is really nice staff service and the staffs are Soo helpful and even told us a bit about the cats, the cats are usually asleep but some of them were really playful, would definitely come again
Such a good place! Cause they played “Taylor’s song” whole session cats very cute though!
Very friendly staff. Too bad we can't hold the cats but understandable since it's a rule. Onion is the best boy.
Update 4/10/23: thanks so much for your response, appreciate that you took the time to communicate this to the staff involved. Other than the interactions with one human, the rest of the experience was absolutely delightful. Have upgraded review to 5 stars. I know it's tough running a small business, especially one where it's a labour of love. Really appreciate the work you put into this beautiful place that brings so much joy to everyone.

Gorgeous cat cafe soured only by one completely disengaged staff member, who gave her name as Sayuki (she had an US/Canadian accent). Her disdain and contempt for visitors was immediately evident; she could barely make eye contact when handing over the toilet keys. Greeted walk-ins with, "HAVE YOU GOT A BOOKING? " before promptly turning them away. The attitude and approach soured an otherwise pleasant experience. She appeared to be the manager on site, directing other staff without so much as a thanks. It was very uncomfortable to observe.
I tried contacting Yumiao to give this feedback discreetly but owner was never onsite when I phoned.
Yumiao is a super cute cat, Cafe! Their prices are excellent and the food and service are really nice too, I recommend they have lots of cats, are they all are very cute, I recommend the feeding session if you'd like to get close and personal with that cats.
I adore this place! I took my 5 year old here and we had the best time patting and playing with kitties while we enjoyed our hot beverages. The staff explained everything really well and we had a lovely experience.
This is a cafe for cats no food is served there but you can get drinks when you see the catd
Definitely one of the best cat cafes in Sydney! The staff were very very caring and knowledgeable. The staff member supervising the cats had so much insight and love for the kitties and they were hilarious too! 45 minutes is plenty of time to have a wander and sip your drink. They have very clear rules and guidelines as to what you can and cannot do with the cats. Upon entering, you have to sanitise and place shoe covers on and ensure that you have no food from outside.
The cats are SO well loved, their area is well designed with lots of interactive features and personal space. Honestly I was blown away by the love and attention this place has for cats!
For drinks, there's a HUGE selection of bubble teas, fruit teas and standard drinks. The passionfruit tea was refreshing and yummy.
P. S BRING CASH/COINS to "tip" your favourite cat so they recieve toys etc. There are card games and books too if you need to keep entertained!
Nice cat cafe. Cats are super cute. They are rather sleepy in the afternoon.booking is painless and straightforward.
Had a great first experience at the YUMIAO Cat Cafe. Staff were friendly and well-informed. Yummy drinks, too!
Well set out, the carer was fantastic, very knowledgeable. Kids enjoyed it. Will definitely go back
Came to purchase a Peach Coconut Tea. There was a cute and friendly cat in the cafe area which came up to us at one point for pats. Will try booking a session in the cat lounge in the future to play with all the cats.
There is really bad food when I went into the cat room straight away I got scratched also your not gonna sit the from 45 minutes I only stayed for 20 and I arrived
Lovely atmosphere. The staff were very polite and the cats were affectionate. Located conveniently near the bus stop.
We love the atmosphere here. Overall The cats are quite friendly, except some seems tired at times or grumpy. But they are well taken care of and very cute. You can touch them gently and some cats might sit on your lap. Our favorite are butterscotch and shrimp the cat.
The drinks are also delicious and staff is professional.
We will definitely come back!
Lots of cats to play with.staff were super friendly and the drinks were pretty nice too. Mostly all of the cates there liked to be pet and played with. Feeding them was fun, they all get crazy excited when it's feeding time.
Walked in and stood there for 10 minutes while the staff stood there on her phone facing us instead of serving us. We then got turned away because they were too busy. If you’re going for food there isn’t a lot of seating
Spent a relaxing hour there with children. Although almost all the cats are sleeping, we had fun, and the drinks taste good.
