Yukun Timber Flooring

Yukun installed the timber floor a few years ago. Finished the work in one day and covered four bedrooms and living room. Reasonable price and good work.

I wasn’t disappointed by their work. They did a very good job, especially for the stairs inside my penthouse.

The price is very competitive, the workers are very nice and friendly to deal with, one of the worker pointed out the main water switch is lightly leaking at my Belmore unit during the installation. I really appreciated it. The flooring they installed are also very professional, that’s why I did the flooring installation with them twice at my Belmore unit and Newington unit.

I was confused by some comments below and not sure we did the business with the same company. If it’s not the case, I guess there might be some misunderstanding because of miscommunications? Anyway, YMMV.

My personal experience dealt with Yukun was quite pleasant and fairly easygoing.

My apartment size is so irregular which resulted in much more efforts needed to make to get the job done. The labors were very pleasant to deal with, and I was impressed the quality of the job. On the top of the fantastic job they have done, they pointed out a light water leakage from one of my bathrooms which might saved a big hassle for me in the near future.

I really appreciate what they did for me. I treated them with a great respect and I believed mutual respect was earned.

Do not go near this mob! We had laminate floor installed and after a few months found some of it was cupping and there were some gaps in installed areas. Yukun refused to negotiate so we went to NSW Civil &Admin Tribunal (NCAT). The judgement was in our favour and YUKUN was ordered to pay damages.
Their response was to try to close the company in order to avoid payment. The company continues to trade at the same premises in Carlingford under a new name!

A team of 5 came to my house and finished both floors in 1 day. Good range of selections, friendly service and competitive pricing.

Fair price and quick installation.only thing they don't do is move your furniture, which most companies don't do anyway.some extra cleaning is also needed which is to be expected.

Asked the guys to do laminate floor for us. The job was finished pretty quick. The quality of the job was fine. They started quite early in the morning and finished the job in a day (for around 70 m2). I really like the quick step largo range, the color of the boards go perfectly with my furniture. Generally a job well done. However, they do need to improve their English.

Got their contact off a friend.had them to do the flooring for our newly built house in Ermington.we went for the Quick Step Eligna range. The guys finished the job in a day and a half. The job was done professinally. I was quite happy with the quality of their job, especially the stairs. The Quick step Incizo looks really neat.

WARNING. CHEAP and NASTY. We engaged these butchers to install laminate flooring in our home which was a complete CATASTROPHE! The chinese owner and his workers DO NOT SPEAK A WORD OF ENGLISH, they are LAZY and want everything easy and refuse to move your furniture. The communication was NON EXISTANT and the product was RUBBISH. Our staircase is an absolute MESS with uneven edge cutting and the overall finish to the staircase was disgraceful. They cut the laminate pieces in our bedroom and our clothes in the wardrobe and newly painted walls were covered in thick brown dust. Overall the job was a DISASTER! And when we asked the owner to fix the job it nearly ended with us calling the police. We are now having the job re-done again by a proper professional company.

DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID - FIND A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY THAT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND ASK QUESTIONS - WHO THE INSTALLERS WILL BE AND IF THEY SPEAK ENGLISH and NOT on a working visa from China, etc, etc.

There are so many things with this company, which makes a "Not Preferred" business to deal with

Installers who come to premises cant speak English and very hard time to liaise with them
Customer service is very poor.
They agreed on one price and when you go back to them with that price, they change their word.
Job is not professional, as they have laid the cardboard pieces underneath the wooden floor.
I am currently facing through problems with them with fixing some of the timber that they have laid.

Their job is not too bad, price is very competitive.
They claimed they used German product called "GODFREY HIRST".
We did a bit research and ok with that.

Their English is not perfect, but hard work and easy to work with. My relatives are using them as well
