YMCA Hawkesbury Oasis reviews
34Lovely place to hang out with grandkids on a hot day they have a slide that is only open 15 minutes each hour, inside and outside pools, small park area and a Cafe but too few toilets for a complex of this size unless they are hiding somewhere else
Great place for any size children to swim and play. Lots of life guards. Has aqua classes for adults and seniors. Really good gym and friendly staff.
I believe there should be a dress code. I don't want to sit on a seat that's had a 15year old in a gstring sitting on it. Men have no choice and if they pulled that up on their computer they would be tagged a peodofile. Swimming centres need a dress code won't be back
I come here to use the pool with my toddler. Great place for kids to swim and there’s a water slide
Great centre, well maintained. Always supervised. Great kids area.
Every teacher the kids have had for lessons has been great and attentive.
Great place to work out and swim and a plus that they accept fitness passport! All the staff are really friendly and have good phone response rates.
Too Expensive. $20 as a casual.get out of here.i wanted to use pool its $6.50 but cannot use gym without pool so $20.u guys are scaring senior customers out
Coffee shop is a joke. 1 staff member on a Saturday and after I waited 30 minutes and asked why everyone else's order that was after mine was coming out they did not care.
Absolutely love this place, been going here on and off for quite a few years. I would give 5 stars accept for the pricing, I think it's way over the top to pay $20.50 for a casual visit, should be like $6 for the Gym n Swim. I know it's in line with most other Gyms. I have been recovering from an injury for about 8 years and you either have to pay the membership and it is direct debit or casual at $20.50 a visit.
Agree with below mentioned comment about them being so intense. I cannot even step one foot into the creche entry without being turned away, unless it's 10: 35. If I get there at 10: 34 I'm asked to wait outside. Class starts at 10: 40 on the dot. So I have 5 min to drop kids off and set up. If the class has a lot of people there's no where but the front and I just don't feel comfortable there. I tried to manage this by going in after the prior class, setting up with the kids and then taking them at 10: 35 but then again I'm told kids aren't allowed to go into the group class room as per policy. So I leave them where? Outside. They really know how to make a mum feel uncomfortable.
Used my fitness passport with a few colleagues for a recovery day.
On duty lifeguard was friendly and allocated a lane for us to utilise as a group & provided us with complimentary spa & steam room access (as upon entering, we were unaware of the extra costs involved). Atmosphere was calm & relaxing and we left feeling refreshed & rejuvenated. Will visit more often!
Great staff, good amenities (particularly the overhauled Gym) and really fun pools. Oasis is an absolute lightsaver during Summer.
Very disappointing. It’s such a shame, the pool and facilities are lovely. But they are so strict and intense there!
I have a 6 and 7 year old who are excellent swimmers. And apparently I have to be at 1 mtr distance from them at all times. Which is such a joke. Of course when I am sitting there I am watching them but for them to be a metre from me at all times, means they can’t even use the rest of the kids pool! Apparently only 12 yr olds and up can. Without that rule.
So frustrating and no other pools are that strict. Takes all the fun out of it. We’re not talking about toddlers here and I have to be in the water with them.
So silly and they need to loosen up on those rules. Now we won’t ever be going back.
I don’t want to have to get in the water with my 8 and 9 year olds in the future, when they are perfectly capable swimming on their own.
Happy to drive an hour out of my way to go some where else we can relax and I can just watch my kids have a swim.
A fun little day out for the whole family. There are plenty of things to keep kids of all ages entertained. There are outdoor and indoor options for pools, a playground, as well as a gym and canteen. Swimming lessons are also available. I would highly recommend.
Great place for little kids to swim, with a kiosk, plenty of seating, disability access to the water, and a water slide useful for primary aged kids.
Great pools, great shade, great canteen, great price!
Really nice place for the kids and adults
Because of the Covid-19 lockdown, I didn't swim for a long time and I missed the place so much that I thoroughly enjoyed my day and time spent in that lovely water spa.and the pool etc. I love the caring attention of the the staff members. Thank you Oasis.
Great spot for a swim with indoor and outdoor pools. Unfortunately the slide is closed
Food was great average pricing
I did body combat and body pump last Saturday and the instructors were fun. The facilities in group fitness were clean and the reception staff attentive. You can swim and work out here also. Seems like a family orientated place.
Great kiddies pool with fountain and buckets emptying, good size swimming pools indoor and outdoor, also noticed water aerobics session. Also have a gym. Reasonable rates for entry and concessions for seniors. Learn to swim classes for all ages and a kiosk with a good range of food and drinks.
