Yasaka Ramen reviews
53Really bad food. First time bring the uncooked rice, then I asked for change new one. At second time, the rice and meat are overcooked with very strong burned smell. The ramen is not that good.
Typically what we expect from a good Japanese restaurant, however we eat at the counter so if you are in a group take this into account.
DIY At Home Tonkotsu Ramen is a-mazing.
While the base soup has a deep pork flavour, adding the miso (umami flavours) takes it to another level.
Well done and thank you for making lockdown bearable for 10minutes.
Not only is the broth lovely and rich, really hitting those Ramen cravings, we received such wonderful service from George! Thank you for such a great experience. Will be ordering from them again soon!
Saw a lot of good reviews on this place so I thought I'd give it a try. Noodles and meat were fine but the broth was 50% oil, I was starvingso I had to mix it all together just to manage to spoon it down
Amazing ramen. The bamboo, pork and soup were all superb. I will come here again to try other items on the menu
Ma-yu (black garlic oil) ramen
Really good broth and the noodles had a nice al dente feel to them. The only let down was the chashu which was dry and a little chewy
Food is great however the service is really bad. We were seated at the second floor but it’s been 10 minutes and no one were there to take on the orders. There was no one on the floor to assist the second floor customers need. It was very disappointing that we had to call them on the first floor and another thing, the staffs are so unfriendly and cold toward customers. Seems like they don’t really care about customers’ satisfaction. We asked for the recommendation and didn’t bother to explain on how it is recommended.
One of my favourite ramen places in Sydney an definitely a go to if you're a lover of rich broths that are still liquid (Gumshara is rich, but certainly more like a stew than a broth). Keep in mind it is still very heavy and may not agree with you if you're not used to it, but it's still one of my favourites.
Yasaka ramen is one of my favourite ramen spots in Sydney. You have the option to choose the flavour of your broth (miso, shoyu & shio) along with which ramen you want. The broth has the perfect consistency, it’s not too thick or watery, just right and the grilled chashu is so soft, loved it!
Food was delicous. Love the broth and the variety of ramen to choose from. Will definitely again to try other stuff in the menu.
I ordered spicy ramen level 2. It tastes like I'm eating pure chill which I can tolerate and I am obsessed with but this is the first ramen I taste nth beside spicy flavour. So so so disappointed. I try my friends ramen he order the pork ribs ramen and the base soup taste like water with chilly meanwhile its look sticky. I'm so confused
I like the ambiance of the place. It feels like I'm in Japan, however, ramen is quite disappointing. I ordered their Best seller, the meat is so good and tender, but the broth was so fatty. I can feel like 1/4 of the broth was fat. On the other hand, the egg is alright. There's nothing special on it. On positive note, I like the meat, it was tender and tasty.
Fine, all edible but seems overrated. It's a pretty simple unpretentious place but the taste of meals was consistently worse than most ramen in the city
Great Japanese ramen, soup is very tasty, good spot to have a beer too, but if you're expecting a big bowl of Ramen, the serve is a bit smaller than others, you'll definitely need to order another extra noodle, a littlie bit over priced too.
First time to try Yasaka ramen and picked Yasaka raman with miso soup base. The soup was thick but not salty and perfect partnership with the chewy noodle. Definitely will try more items on the menu next time.
Budget Japanese food in ambiance, decor and quality. Seems to be a place for student. Staff is a bit of hit and miss. Food was mediocre. Miso was cold, karage greasy, gyoza hard on the outside and undercooked on the inside.
I tried really hard to like my ramen but it was too sweet and salty. The broth was also too thick.
The service was spot on and the staff were lovely.
Yasaka Ramen is one of my all time faves in Sydney. I love their hearty tonkotsu broths, and their kakuni - the softest, juiciest braised pork belly - is especially good and something I always get. For something lighter, I really enjoyed the perfectly balanced yuzu tonkotsu ramen. All the side dishes we tried were so good as well. I was very impresed with the pork gyoza, and happy with the karaage, takoyaki and soft shell crab too. Would definitely come back for ramen here again!
