Dirty table, weird menu. None special bun in burwood meaning cheap and okay. Bun is not freshly made. But u pay 10. Should compare to TianTong

Comfortable meal with soup dumpling. The dumpling is so filled with soup.

Feels like healthy home cooking without much MSG.

As a Shanghainese, I should say it's fake 小杨生煎.
Taste bad.
Very dirty dinning environment
Definitely won't go again!

When you want to eat pan-fried buns, come to Xiao Yang
There are so many places to eat~ Xiao Yang’s fried buns are the best! The skin is thin and strong~ the fillings are rich and juicy! Be careful when you bite the soup (hot)

Tasty dumplings at a reasonable price, we usually get takeaway though as it’s a smaller shop. Definitely worth a try to see how you like it!

Disappointing! The meat has a bad sour smell in the pan fried pork buns. The pan fried pork chop meat was not fresh and has a bad odour smell.

Don't come here to dip the beef noodles without beef soup. The fried meat is fishy and sour. The braised pork rice is mapo tofu rice. I went to Xiaoyang Shengjian and stole a few bowls. I called myself Xiaoyang Shengjian. It has been closed down in China for a long time.lightning protection

Slaps hard, definitely recommend the Sichuan wontons with peanut sauce, so flavourful and hearty, skin on the thicker side. XLB is also worth getting. The wait time is pretty long but worth it personally. Reasonable prices, seating is a bit cramped but who cares as long as the food is good. I will dream about that peanut sauce tonight

I came here because I saw this place favourably recommended online, but my experience didn't match up with those reviews unfortunately. Kind of what you expect from cheaper Chinese eateries—great value for a meal, slightly off-putting no-frills interior, but food-wise the dumplings weren't good because of their thick and chewy (undercooked?) skins. The staff did give us a free mis-ordered dish from another table though, so that was nice of them.

Good service and the food came out fairly quick. This place is great value ($) and their dumpling sizes are so big, although not good quality of pork filling. Highly recommend their soup dumplings (XLB) - was the best dish.

We ordered off uber ears and were so disappointed. The fried rice was too salty. The salt and pepper tofu was soggy and bland, no flavour at all. The creamy custard buns were just deep fried bread with a tub of condensed milk, and looked nothing like the picture.

The best part was the prawn dumplings, but didn't make up for the disappointment of the other dishes.

Great little place, awesome food! We got dinner before a show and getting so many small dishes to share was good. Delicious dumplings and fried rice!

Dumplings were difficult to eat as the skin was very thick and hard. Imagine chewing on the hide of a rhino, I’m guessing we got yesterdays left overs because these were definitely not fresh. Disappointed

The dumplings are merely of average quality. The meat is dry and lack of taste. They don't even have the standard spicy sauce of Yang's. If I only want a random street food restaurant I might go there again, but not for the famous Yang's dumpling and that price.

Affordable dumplings that is so delicious and tasty. All made fresh on the premises, even the xao long bao arrived piping hot on the table, with the broth bursting once your bit into it - yes, it's hot so proceed with caution. My son can't get enough of the fried chicken and he can't wait to come back for more. Hands down my partner and I enjoyed the wonton in peanut sauce and chilli sauce. We find that of all the dumpling places we visited across Sydney, Yang's dumplings has the right balance of dough and meat fillings. We cannot wait to visit this store once again.

Best dumplings in Sydney!
I have been to many places but I have never had dumplings that are this tasty!
I’ve recommended this place to many people and they have all loved it!
The dumplings are made fresh! Full of flavour! And the service is good!
It’s a small restaurant but definitely worth trying!

I heard many good reviews about this dumpling place in Burwood and finally I got the chance to try this week. Even though it was lunch time but the store wasn’t that busy, mostly online orders through delivery. We chose to sit outside because inside was a bit dark and the floor was quite oily therefore slippery. The food came quickly and I could taste the freshness of ingredients. The fried buns were packed with goodness and had plenty fillings. The spicy peanut sauce for the wontons is creamy, tangy and a bit savoury. Good experience overall - great staff and portions as well.

We ordered the tuesday deal: 6 pork dumplings and the beef soup. It came first and the dumplings were good, decent sized and tasted nice. The soup however was quite plain, there was little noodles and 4 thin slices of tofu, but no vegetables like in the image, only just 3 slivers of green shallots. The beef was also tough and tasteless. We slowly finished the dish before having to wait another 5 minutes for the next dish which was the chicken fried rice. It was extemely underwhelming, the fried egg was good. The rice contained frozen vegetables (diced carrot, corn and peas) and nothing else. The chicken was good, it was fried. But the rice didnt seem fried and overall it just wasn't worth the purchase. Then we ordered combo 1: 3 pork buns and 3 vege + pork buns. The pork buns were really good while the vege + pork ones weren't as nice. The vegetable was just like spinach and green shallots so it didnt have a nice texture (unlike chives or cabbage).

Overall, the pork dumplings were good while all the other food was super underwhelming and plain. The service was poor and we had to wait excessively long for each dish to come out.

Normally I order through UberEats but today I was in Burwood and thought I’d check out the restaurant. The restaurant is small but has 6 tables, some long for extra seating. Very busy with takeaway orders by locals and UberEat drivers coming and going. This restaurant is sure not short of business and is a popular spot. The dine in experience is okay but food comes at different times and a little bit of a wait, and they have garbage at eye view in seating area, which is a little off putting, especially if sitting at nearby seats.

The food: I’m obsessed with the vegan dumplings in the peanut chilli sauce, the mushroom buns and the salt & pepper tofu dish. I order from Yangs maybe 2-3 times a week, the food is delicious!
