Wynyard Park reviews
31 Wynyard park beautiful little area to enjoy a quite sit down. Great for kids activities with plenty of room on the grass.
All lso great for team bonding excersises which would suit office workers.
Great for lunch, coffee or even after work activities.
I love Wynyard Park, a beautiful peaceful spot in the city, but with lots of activity around. Buses, trains, fast food.
It is nice park conviniently situated in a city CBD next to Wynyard Station. Comfortable benches and green grass with old local trees makes this place outstanding.
If you want to watch crowds, this is one of the best place to go. Bring some coffee to go and sit on the public benches.
It's not the cleanest park, there's no play area it's more a place for lunchtime reflection. There's a few homeless people who frequently sleep or stay in the park.
Spacious, lots of people. I go there every lunch break at work. Right near the station, so very accessible via public transport
A typical CBD part with lot of commercial high rise buildings all around. Many coffee shops and fast food joints offer you that quick bite or a refreshing cuppa of coffee. There are bars also which are open throughout the day and late in the night on weekends. There is a Light Rail station, a train station and a big bus bay that connects you to almost any corner of Sydney. You can have thai, chinese, mexican, italian, local, lebanese, indian almost all type of cuisine here at a walkable distance. For health concious, there are salad and juice bars as well. A busy CBD area indeed.
Need to Improve the condition of public toilets. Great place. Busy people are having their lunch on lawn. Croweded mostly.
Could be cleaned up a little it's a nice little park but it's very dirty needs more attention from council maintenance
A peacefully noisy and relaxed atmosphere with public seats to sit and enjoy the cacophony of the scene. A nice resort for lunch and outdoor activities.
Wynyard Park is a melting pot for multilateral functions in the CBD. It is also a crossroad for especially buses and commuters from the North Shore and Northern Beaches to the Wynyard Train Station.
Yes I collapsed there had ambulance called but keep getting told I'm ok go home with Panadol and got no help from my care team so no water medication could not walk but after 4 ambulance called yes nearly lost my leg was very ill for 4 weeks dehydrated so I could not walk to get meds but only one staff helped me but I'm on mend.
A nice park between one entrance
of Wynyard station with lift and
escalators and stairs on the other.
I very much enjoyed the company of the group of homeless men at the next bench in the park. On a beautiful Sydney evening.
A small but significant green space little park that is bound by York, Carrington, Market and Barrack Street. Lovely park that provides shaded areas during the hot weather and really sunkissed during the cooler months when the deciduous trees dropped their leaves. Great place during lunch break for office workers in the area and a welcoming place to relax whilst waiting for the bus (especially bus services to the northern suburbs originate from here) or about to enter Wynyard station. Suitable for all ages especially young children. Wheelchair friendly and baby bram friendly. This used to be the parade ground of the first military barracks and named after General Wynyard the Commander of British Forces in Australia from 1848 to 1853, according to archive information available publicly.
It's a nice enough park. Is overrun with very keen ibises though. Really spoils the ambience of an otherwise lovely hideaway in the city.
Rats, homeless, smokers, to few park benches. No flowers and I feel sorry for the possums that live in those trees. Entire park needs a complete redesign, more lighting
Quite nice place but it's quite noisy because it's surrounded by big streets. I heard some people smoke marijuana in here. But I've never seen people like that.
Little park in the cbd to relax, eat, pray, watch the world go by, catch a bus or train to anywhere in Sydney, whatever
I loved being here as I was surrounded by greenery best place to rest for a whlie at your break from your busy schedule. One problem is that junks are scattered around the place.
Good place with greenery in the middle of concrete jungle. Council has started paying attention but more good can be done like variety of plants etc. Grab a coffee or lunch and enjoy in the relaxed atmosphere.
