WWII Coastal Observation Bunker reviews
12Small piece of local history, but neglected. Great views though, and easy 4WD access to the beach.
It looks more like a tomb raided by grave robbers.
1 for the bunker
5 for the stunning view
Hard to get to no real path to get to it. Not a lot to see but glad it’s still there. Nice view of the beaches though.
Absolutely tragic. Homeless people have clearly been squatting there. The bunker is covered in rubbish and remnants of blankets, clothes etc.
Do not go there.it's not worth your time.
Just a complete lack of respect for the men who faught for our country.
Very disappointing.
Lovely historical location that has unfortunately not been cared for by the locals or the government. It is filled with litter and the inside is covered in graffiti.
No way to honour lives lost.
What a shame a piece of our history in a lovely place that looks like a garbage dump
Please coffs harbour clean it up. A walking track and an information plaque would be nice.ur clean it up and put and interesting plaque on it and maybe a walking track.
I was expecting to actually go underground and see actual cool stuff but the entrance is caved in so. Yeah it's not amazing but still the top is still kinda intact and that's cool (kinda)
Beautiful beaches, fantastic views from the headlands, and where else would you want to be on an extraordinary Saturday afternoon.
Great views. Great spot to kick back and relax in ya car or on the beach. Awesome surf spot with access to the drive on beach of Boambee beach.
Cool history, but not maintained by the city. So it's falling apart. Easy to get to. Would have liked some kind of sign to explain how it was used, manned, raised.
Never knew what it was, no plaques or information. Needs $$$ spent by the RSL if they want to promote it as something to see.
