Workforce Skills and Training reviews
20Nancy and Lynese do an amazing job at Work Force Skills and Training! Their classes are extremely engaging and they make everyone in the class feel extremely welcome and confident in their skills!
The CPR/First Aid course is NOT BORING! Trainer Lynece is very competent in her delivering, training and assessing of all the necessary information. It’s an interactive and informative course with adequate equipment and facilities. Thoroughly enjoyed the whole day and definitely feel confident with my newly acquired knowledge and skills. Nancy is a hoot!
I had an amazing day today with Nancy and Lynece completing a Certificate Providing First Aid in an education and care setting. There was not a moment when they did not have my full attention, it was an enjoyable day as well as a day of learning. I had put First Aid on the back burner for years. So pleased I finally choose to do the course and also pleased I choose these 2 awesome teachers.that made learning fun.
Thank you very much the course would have to be the best run trainer was so nice and helpful
A BIG thumbs up to Workforce Skills and Training in Lismore for a great day of First Aid training.
Martin Smith our trainer is excellent at his job, a really good teacher. He had us all laughing with his great sense of humour, and he had all ages engaged, interested and learning. His mission.that trainees leave feeling confident.competent.and aware of the limit of their capabilities (i.e. Only do what you have been taught while waiting for help to arrive). Well Martin, mission accomplished. Feeling much better about it all now. Thank you very much.
Very nice to meet Nance who owns the business as she was so lovely when I needed to reschedule my training date.a quick and painless process I might add. Thank you Nance for a perfectly cooled space on such a hot day! And for l
looking after us all so well
Great day learning my first aid certificate with Lynece from Workforce skills and training. Lots of well informed information and lessons on cpr and general first aid and a bit of humour thrown in for good measure
It a pleasure to do Nancy's First aid Courses. Your made feel comfortable and at ease.
I attended a First Aid course run by Workforce Skills and Training, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. The course covered a lot of information and was well taught and made easy to understand.
These guys are organised, enthusiastic and right on target with their training. Im absolutely up to date with my training now and confident with the take away skills.
Workforce Skills and Training is my go to for first aid and CPR training, this is my second time using them and they never disappoint. They are thorough with their training whilst also making the learning engaging, they have recovered from the floods and come back better than ever. The director, Nancy is so kind and helpful and very generous with her morning tea spread that she provides! If you are looking at getting certified I couldn't recommend Workforce Skills and Training highly enough! Support local!
Lovely place and a great atmosphere. Came out of the coarse feeling confident thanks lady’s.
Workforce Skills and Training have been very accommodating in bookings and thorough in delivering relevant First Aid content in a fun and professional manner. Highly recommended
Nancy and her team are amazing. In depth knowledge while still making it fun. Highly recommend this centre for anyone needing to complete any of these courses!
My husband is on Disability Support Pension and I am his carer and receive Carer payment and allowance, so obviously we are struggling as having lost all our possessions including our car. And the ongoing rise of the cost of living is absolutely devastating as I often skip meals to ensure my very disabled husband has enough food.
I’m November 2022 I paid $155 for the First Aid and CPR training. Shortly thereafter my husband was hospitalised with sepsis which nearly killed him. I rang to notify Nancy who refused to give me a refund, but said I could re enrol when my husband was better. Since then my husband has had pneumonia, severe Covid which led to his need of constant care.
I rang Nancy on Monday 15/05/2023 to enrol in the next course, as she said reapply when your husband is better, it was only a couple of days ago when he was given the all clear from his doctor and specialist.
Nancy is now refusing to enrol me, stating I would need to PAY $155 AGAIN! I know she has stolen our money (which we desperately need)
It was only 6 months since I’d paid and when I asked her how long I had to rebook she said ‘that depends, are we talking years? ’ When I replied 6 months she immediately jumped to ‘no that’s too long you’ll have to pay again’
I’m absolutely disgusted with this racist, bigoted POS who thinks she’s better than people on Centrelink payments. I pity anyone who is forced to go through workforce skills
Excellent staff, such a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. First aid course was very informative and well presented. Great job Smith and Co.
Went here to do my first aid course. Beautiful location and easy free parking straight out the front. Comfortable building and training area. Nice tea and coffee selection for breaks. Martin was our first aid trainer. He was expectional, amazing and kind. The course ran smoothly and well. Nancy was absolutely amazing and a beautiful soul. They were both funny as well. It's good to have a course that's firm and keep the humour in it as well. Highly recommend going here to keep small business going but also enjoy a fun way of learning.
I love being able to do my First Aid Training with this company. Very professional instructors who do an amazing job. Nancy you are amazing and again thank you for the opportunity of being qualified for another 3 years.
I recently attended Workforce Skills and Training for a First Aid course however, there were a number of issues.
Firstly, a fellow participant used derogatory language. During the third (3rd) incident, I challenged this person's behaviour, asking them to be mindful of their language and stated the class should be a safe place for everyone. Despite checking in at lunch to see if I was okay, the facilitator had not challenged the participant's conduct when it occurred.
Shortly after, I heard Nancy, the owner of Workforce Skills and Training make a number of racist comments. I stated I was about to leave the class and explained why. When I challenged her statements, and attempted to explain why her sentiments were so offensive, she replied that she had a right to her opinion. I was shocked and appalled by what I had just witnessed, including her attitude, and I left without completing my training.
In my opinion Workforce Skills and Training is not a safe place for learning. I am astounded by the nature of, and number of incidents I encountered in my half-day participation of this course. I do not recommend Workforce Skills and Training as a training provider.
Absolutely awesome team of staff, was about the first lot of First Aid & CPR training I enjoyed. Would definitely highly recommend. Messaged the night before asking if they had any availability, and I was slotted in the next morning! Had an awesome day:)
The best trainer for first aid I have ever had, the fees were cheap, Lenece made the day fun. I highly recommend this company for all your first aid training needs.
