Woonona Rock Pool reviews
21 A neat little pool with a side entrance to the beach. Beautiful rock structure and array of toilets, open shower.
Windy area. My towel flew off from my bag.
The pool and beach is beautiful.
Parking & change rooms/Toilet are not spacious at all. They need to be expanded.
Parking can be found in nearby street if you are lucky.
Beautiful beach. Very safe for kids. Close amenities.
The only issue I have is, my son and I get swimmers itch. We also both have eczema so that’s probably why but every time we come to this beach, whether we swim in the rock pool or the ocean, we get a rash the day after. So just a heads up to anyone else who has eczema and wants to swim here.
Very nice place relaxing only issue is that I wish they had some sort of shops right next to the Rockpool had to drive to Woonona RSL club only one min drive which was very nice inside to grab some lunch. A fish and chips shop would be great and an ice cream shop too, on those hot summer days. All round good place. Not much grass area though
Woonona Rock Pool has a 50m pool with sky blue painted diving blocks, and an historic pavilion with viewing platform. Originally built as an even bigger pool by local volunteers in the 1920s, decades later it was rebuilt into this 8-lane Olympic pool. You can still see the vestiges of the original weathered into the surrounding rock shelf.
It has epic views in all directions, out from the headland between Bulli and Bellambi, outdoor and indoor showers, plenty of free parking and a nice locals vibe. This one’s a big yes and we would return.
Nice place and view. Was so windy during my visit and there was no one. Can't imagine how it feels like to swim there.
I have a real soft spot for these pools as they are the pools I took my kids to when they were little.
Very good viewing area and tidal pool surrounded by beautiful beaches. A short walk to the cycleways and walk walk.
Wonderful pool. The day we went there was little cool and same as water but pool is beautiful. Easy access to parking and toilets and showers. Beach is good but mostly for surfurs.
Today was lovely. The pool was clean and a lovely alternative to getting into the ocean as the Big O is a but ruff today
Friendly people!
Plain surface!
All the people in the pool were super friendly. Unlike most rock pool, this one did not had rocky surface. Showers and toilets are right there. There is a cafe few min walk, which provides tasty food.
One of the best places with fewer visitors compared to other Sydney beaches. Distance not far as well.
Great pool and beach. Public toilets on site. Might need thongs to walk across rocks. Stairs down to the pool.
A large man made pool with showers & toilets that close early evening and reopen by 7 am. The parking is very limited yet there are pools in Belambi to the south and at Bulli beach to the north.
One of the sacred womens area from Sandon Point to Belambi point much has changed since the local Aboriginal peoples lived with dignity and harmony along the shoreline.
Very nice rock pool to have a dip. Good facilities. Shower and toilet available however for some reason toilet was locked around 5: 30 pm in summer. In the contrary toilet in Bulli rock pool area was open.
Awesome as always pool was being pumped full of fresh ocean water so was nice and crisp️️️
Me and the boys put the yards in rest of the weekend all down hill from here.
Cheers
Great pool for some laps. Very refreshing mid winter but no-one else there, still clean and change rooms open. Great view of Woonona and Bulli beaches while you swim
Less a rock pool than a sea water lap pool. Amenities on site, some seating and close parking, if limited
