Woolworths Metro reviews
66 -Good location
Metro is.
-More expensive than Woolworths
-Less products than Woolworths
Very good spot i recommend sleeping on the chips as they provide good back support for sleeping but they are a little loud and might alert the security guard i also recommend the toilet paper
ZERO STARS to the manipulation into getting people to use self check out machines.
So they still have a couple of check out with real people, but they put up some ridiculous machine that doesn't allow the staff to receive the money for payment, we have to put the money into the machines really? What a sneaky way, trying to train people into stop real life experience of shopping by replacing people with machines, and this way training people half way there, probably to remove the people from it in no time after everybody are "well trained" into using self check out
machines.
BIG FAT NO TO THIS.
WE ALL MUST SAY TO THESE CORPORATIONS TRYING TO REPLACE HUMANS WITH MACHINES.
WE AS CONSUMERS HAVE THE POWER TO REJECT THIS.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING TO KEEP HUMANITY ALIVE AND TRADITIONAL VALUES GOING FOR NEXT GENERATIONS, BEFORE EVERYONE GETS DISCONNECTED BEYOND SALVATION.
The male employee who work in the coffee bar in the morning shift seems unhappy about his job. Previously I have no big negative experiences here. But visited here at boxing day and public holiday for a coffee by the coupon. Unfortunately Woolworth employee refusing to assisted me for a coffee with soymilk just because I'm using a coupon? Perhaps Woolworth HR need have a better communication with the employee. This is because the customer service was awful, the employee shouldn't pass his negative emotion to a customer. Clearly the company did not implemented this promotion activity well or there was lack of communication between your customer and employee. Something could be done much better.so I guess I should stop visit here again.
Terrible customer service. Security guard was passive aggressive, watching you as if you were criminal. Assistant (that blond haired, Asian looking lady) over-charged you, and when you called back to report, manager said you must come back to the store to get the refund, and didn't not even apologise. 14/7/22
Doesn't stock enough to be useful. If it does have what you're looking for it's marked up. It is more a convenience store
Very well stocked with all varieties of items for your convenience n single person who hasn't got time to cook for them selves can get healthy lifestyle options here straight across the road from central station in Surry Hills forvouax street n Elizabeth Street Sydney NSW Australia I'll recommend you to come in and enjoy the best example of how Woolworths metro have smartend up customer service excellence award winner in my life and more about it on here all my life has changed since metro have opened in Australia
Although the single young girl was personable, 20 minutes for a toasted chibata is unacceptable. I ordered a coffee next door so as not to delay my order but still the wait continued long after my payment. Unacceptable. Will never purchase here again.
Convenient, however, very small store. Good for milk & bread, & basic food needs, but not a great variety to choose from. & Often out of stock on some products.
I order a regular latte, it’s was disgusting for some reason barrister there didn’t know what she was make. The taste was really bitter and latte has a burn taste. This was the second time it happened. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go there specially morning time it will spoil your entire day.
Until they change the barrister
Just admired their friendly and helpful staff especially about items needed in the shopping list.
Convienient located just across the Central Station for your daily need. I walk pass here cause I got a free coffee docket when you spend $30 groceries shopping in woolsworth. The free coffee of any size is only redeemable from Woolly metro where a barista make coffee for you and they used two seeds coffee beans which actually taste good.
Very few staff, low on fresh fruit,
but staff I dealt with were very
nice and that counts for
something.
Very limited choice of product brands and size of product! Very difficult to get hot food in last few hours each day.unless U go to off the ONLY cashier U must use a card. Wen I asked a staff member/shelf filler where to find sugar they pointed vaguely towards one end of store and said"over there".
I come here every week or so and understand the area is tramp central.
Today, a new and enthusiastic bearded attendant followed me around the store. He thought he was being discreet, pretending to look at nearby shelves while peeping from the corner of his eyes but I noticed after a few minutes as store was not busy at all. I stared him down towards the end and he moved to the front where the guard was stationed.
Never had this before at a supermarket. I'm African and was ok dressed.
No, he wasn't checking to see if I needed any assistance, kept moving every couple shelves with me and looking at what I was doing.
So weird. I did not like that.
Don't do that again, it's stupid and uneducated
This store has gone down hill lately, barely any products available. So much room dedicated to over priced pre packaged food which often loses quality in the production. Like half covered sandwiches, brown cos leaves.
The staff I'm not blaming though they don't seem very happy. Bad management and store design is terrible, nowhere to put your basket on checkout. Lines of people waiting for cash checkout (1or 2 available) and every card machine empty a few times.opening the fridge doors takes so much aisle space Smells like old mop at times. Convenience is the only up.
Probably not the greatest pricing practice at surry hills woolworths. Already grossly overpriced drink marked up again while 'on special'.
I love the coffee here @ Woolworths. It does get very busy at times, because it is close to the business district, so it does get quite popular.
It’s very close to Central station (5 minutes) walk.
The café sometime has nice staffs, but sometimes it gets very busy and overwhelming for the staffs & they start to stress out which shows on their faces.
The service is quite slow when very busy. The skip app wouldn’t be recommended as I have ordered in the past and my coffee were never ready!
But overall I love the coffee!
The supermarket is similar to a convenient store, they don’t sell many varieties of items like the regular supermarket.
I love this supermarket, Just please teach whoever is on the coffee machine to make coffee its just not on.
Really good considering I was in a rush and they had hot food and quick service from a long train ride and it was situated right near the door to easily to find stuff when you are in a rush
