Woolworths Marrickville Metro reviews
60Fully stocked, large Woolworths with everything you need. Close to the travelator and large parking areas.
My husband had a bad experience in a bakery section, there so rude when he ask something, hey you need to train you’re employee about customer service
This store does not answer their phone. Made a large bread order, and needed to make a change. Phoned repeatedly over 1/2 hour. It just rang out. Have given up. What a waste of bread.
Service desk staff quite rude.
Seams that They know it all. Yet can't seam to deliver! !
Massive store has everything including sushi and it is always clean and there is sufficient staff every visit that I've gone
Woolwoths always have the Burgen Rye bread that I want to buy. The yoghurt i want is cheaper here, and the self serve check outs always seem to be faster.
This is the greatest Woolworths I've ever seen. Food, cold hot seafood MEAT cheeses. Just WoW. Woolworths is fast becoming my place to shop for everthing. The competitor seems to keep dropping their game. Made The most yummy bacon egg shallot pita wrap.
Massive Woolies, went in at about 9pm expecting it to be open until midnight, as mentioned online. I felt rushed to finish my shop within the hour by 10pm as mentioned over the store speakerphone. Not a massive issue, will be back again.
Unpleasant worker in the deodorant isle 9. Name Sangitas. Always on phone. Tried to ask for help and she told ne to go away. Know not to go again on a Saturday evening. Scary
This woolworths is the bomb. If you want to find any meat cheese or seafood for your fancy dinner with friends, this one has isles of choice! If you just want to simply lose the kids, even better! Find an isle - send them on their way! Happy holidays chums
Great place for shopping. Obviously no personal touch, but can't hold it against them. Recommended highly
Great local Woolies. Has all the essentials items I need. Conveniently located in the heart of Meriton Retail Precinct. Can get very busy during peak hours.
Every time I go to Woolworths on Illawara road there are beggars in the doorways and front of the supermarket.
I am a pensioner myself. I have lost a lot of money to people like that.
I am offended. If that man aporoached me twice today I was going to call the police.
Why do I have to be guilted by these beggars? I just want to do my grocery. I have no money to give them.
As Woolies goes this is my favourite store, easy to get in and out and good selection of fresh produce. Also try the Woolworths branded mint ice cream sandwich at $2.95 for 4 it's great value and is so good
Same issue as the review below, waited 40 minutes after arriving at the designated time. Other bays empty. Got home to realise half the items were missing despite being listed as supplied. A few other products were the wrong product also. Cooked service.
It's a supermarket, has a decent enough range of choices in all the products and produce you need for day to day life. Plenty of special discounts on recommended retail prices to make you feel like you save money shopping with them.
Good sized supermarket, bigger range than the other Marrickville Woolworths options. Always well staffed and staff constantly refilling stock.
I cannot speak highly enough of Zenup.
My allocated time was between 2-3pm.
After numerous attempts at contacting online support in desperation rang the store (this was well after 8pm).
She arranged to have my order delivered.
Thank you Zenup.
After informing Woolworths via the app that I had arrived, I waited one hour for my click and collect order. During that time I asked a staff member 3 times to follow up. Finally a manager assisted after 45 minutes and we were able to get our order after waiting an hour in the car. Won’t be ordering click and collect from here again.
I would strongly encourage anybody considering shopping from this Woolworths to consider buying from locally owned establishments instead.
There are always too few checkouts open, to the extent I avoid buying ice cream here because of the likelihood that it will be melted by the time it reaches the carpark. I feel like level of chronic understaffing shows not only a lack of respect the customer, but their own staff.
I have to assume that Marrickville Metro management does not allow Woolworths to restock shelves out of trading hours, because frequently the aisles are so packed with boxes of stock it feels as if I’m trying to navigate through the densely packed alleyways of Marrakech. Ironically, I often find that items I wish to buy are out of stock.
Recently I bought a steak here which turned out to be roughly 30% gristle; when I tried to contact Woolworths online their customer service portal would not work, their online customer service team was uncontactable, they do not supply any direct email addresses, and when I called the number listed for this location I could not get through.
In short, Woolworths is a poorly managed conglomerate which actively does not care about you, their customer. Avoid.
