Woollahra Library at Double Bay reviews
32This library is fantastic. It’s such a good space with a great atmosphere. The staff are also so lovely and very helpful.
Great modern well designed library with a wide range of books, friendly staff and something for everyone. Gets busy at exam times with pupils studying, but if you’re just there to find a good book that’s not a problem.
Amazing space, a bit small (minimal desks, unless you count a small side table and sofa) and more of a casual work library as there's a lot of students and kids coming in and out. Also bring headphones as not a quiet library. Would love for it to stay open on a Saturday & Sunday until 8 - there's a huge need for a weekend work space and it makes it difficult to work/study without one
Well maintained library with indoor greenery. There are a variety of spaces from cubicle-style nooks, soft cushioned seats with tables, stools and a quiet study space on the top floor. The number of quiet spaces is limited so it is best to get in early on weekends.
Had my first visit here last week (first visit to a library in around 10 years) and it was a very pleasant experience.
I needed somewhere to get my head down and do some reporting for work after procrastinating for so long. Decided that a library would be a good start and glad I chose this one.
It’s decorated with plenty of plants and is very clean. There are lots of different nooks and crannies to get comfy and get into a good book or do some work.
You are left to do what you need to do but plenty of staff are available should you need them.
Only thing for me was a couple of groups of young lads sat on the wooden bleachers being very loud whilst people were trying to work and it wasn’t monitored.
Apart from that it’s lovely!
It is the best library I have ever seen in Australia! I am really appreciate whoever makes this place very reachable and peaceful
I really surprised at ppl and staff. They study hard and work hard until 8: 30pm. I can’t believe that…:) It’s very quiet After7: 30 pm.
Wonderful atmosphere to work and study in. Professional library staff providing access to information.
So grateful for the assistance of the Tech Connect team to get some things done that I couldn't do myself. Much appreciated
Brilliant service from the Tech Connect Express team. Such patience, teamwork, professionalism, could not recommend more highly. So inclusive too, the ability to break down the issue and provide clear step by step instructions to be able to resolve problems is so helpful for me with disability.
Wonderful service, supremely helpful, so patient and inclusive in helping me despite disability. Highly recommended, could not speak more highly of the volunteers and Bevalee and Erin and all Tech Connect staff.

Fancy library. The greenery was pleasant. There should be more seats/tables though especially during HSC exam period. They could at least put additional foldable tables or chairs on weekends.
Helpful and friendly staff. Amazing atmosphere with toilet and tap water. Computers available and no bookings needed.
I love the equipment and everything here. However the only downfall is that the staff at the 3rd floor is kinda rude. I reserved a study room today and went to her to confirm my reservation (I thought that’s the requirement since you make a booking). She didn’t check the system initially, while I came back to her and questioned if that’s the room I booked and there’s still people there, she confirmed it was the room on the system. After the people left the room and I went to her to ask if she have cleaning wipes, she claimed the room was already cleaned and other people could have booked the room. For me it is not polite to a new visitor and I hope this is the only case.
A spic and span up to date library.
Excellently designed - a library as it should be light everywhere. A place where you like to go and pick up things you like and love.
Lovely space, big, new, well-resourced. At the moment no facility to enjoy the space and hang out due to covid
Great selection, amazing interior, friendly staff and lots of space! Wow, this library ticks all boxes for a quiet and productive study, work or even just a relaxing reading time!
Clean, modern design that is quiet and close to parking and amenities. A unique piece of infrastructure.
A beautifully designed, well thought-out space that caters to a variety of community needs. The greenery around the library is absolutely stunning.
If you are planning to use the study/ quiet spaces I would recommend arriving early as these tend to fill up quickly and are consistently full throughout the day/ year.
Noise is not really monitored/ policed, and highschool students tend to be disruptive when arriving after school - perhaps keeps this in mind when planning your visit.
Absolutely beautiful space, super modern compared to the old library near Blackthorn Park. Facilities include, free WiFi, desktops, toilets, so much seating (and beautiful ones at that), self- borrowing system where you don’t need to find a worker, but you scan your book to borrow, organized and extensive collection of books, and much, much, more.
