There is a lady who works here who is so incredibly rude and it is disgusting to see how she acts towards others. She yells and talks down at the younger basketball kids for practically anything - including but not limited to: harmlessly bouncing the ball in the corridor while they were not allowed into the court area (which usually isn’t the case even when a class is running, so this was odd we weren’t allowed in. And surprise surprised, it was the first time i’ve ever seen this woman), and for them “standing too close” to her while she was moving the hoops up to a higher settings. Mind you, the kids were nowhere near here, not distracting her or bothering her from doing the task - simply watching her adjust it from a fair distance away. That’s when she said “GO AWAY - MOVE! ” and I think she also told them to get lost. After that she proceeded to roll her eyes and scoff. It is DISGUSTING seeing someone employed here with absolutely zero customer service skills and not to mention, ZERO respect for the customers. I witnessed someone ask her (very politely) if she potentially had a ball pump so he could pump up the game ball. Again, she rudely takes the ball from him, not saying anything, rolls her eyes and scoffs. An absolute joke of an employee and I truly wish to not run into her again. Very very poor etiquette coming from the only staff member on shift. An absolute joke that this person is still employed here. I wish I knew her name because I would absolutely be naming and shaming! It’s clear to see she doesn’t enjoy being here, so I’m not sure what good it’s doing for anyone keeping her around!

Refs stand at half court and call fouls. Pay a HUGE rego fee to see other games with two refs.one old guy in particular was very hostile to a bunch of 13 year Olds playing their first game even threatening to tech a young kid for making a mistake due to not knowing the junior rules. When he was reminded it's not the nbl and to ease up on both teams ("are you playing football or basketball? ! " He then asked, putting down a child who hip passed a few times in a row) he decided to stop the game and take a parent to task for defending a child on the opposition. That's how bad his manner to these young gents was. To make matters worse when that parent politely told the court manager his concerns regarding the refs conduct and maybe putting a young ref on for the young kids might be a better fit especially in their first game I overheard him continually been shut down and dismissed by the little man that manages the courts who did nothing but defend the rude dinosaur that just "reffed" the game.
A great facility with terrible refs and management. Go find a PCYC or something elsewhere. They also won't overcharge you for the pleasure. What a joke.
Management of the basketball comps and courts needs to change. No respect for players or parents. A terrible first game for a lot of these kids. Thanks for ruining that experience.

Edit: sorry WLC have posted to NSBA and updated rating to reflect facility.

This is a wonderful place to both have a relaxing swim or a fast swim squad training. They have a beginner’s swimming program for kids who are just starting to learn how to swim, but also a swim squad (Willoughby Swim Club) for those who are competing in a higher level standard. Cafeteria’s coffee was really nice, originally from Toby Estate.
They have a play area and diving blocks, a 25m pool are also included. Outside, there’s a netball field while inside there’s a multipurpose field both may be used for Badminton, Basketball and more.

Great place to participate in fitness activities. Gym staff are most helpful & fitness program is very rewarding. Also participate in Spin classes which are testing with a high standard of bike equipment. Yoga sessions with Instructor Yuen provide an intensive session with a wide variety of positions

We have been members for many years.

There is a nice 25 metre pool and separate children's pools, a big spa, sauna, well equipped gym, indoor courts, cafe, and outside netball courts next door.

There is also a creche, as well as the Blend Cafe inside, where you can grab a coffee or something to eat whilst you wait.

Very few lap swimming lanes available even during off peak times. I believe the swim school and squad is quite good but not ideal for anyone wanting to get some excersise in.

Very safe yet very fun. Went there every Friday when I was younger. I enjoy the communal atmosphere and the swimming lessons are superb. -Leo

Can be a bit hit and miss depending on who your instructor is but generally pretty good. Worth going to

Became a full member to use the pool, my mistake, it is usually booked out to clubs or classes so cannot get a swim unless it is at odd hours through the day.

Staff extremely rude towards children and people around the pool. Witnessed a staff member yell in a boys face for taking the wrong exit.

For a public pool, this is one of the cleaner ones. Always two or so staff roaming around for safety. Has a nice cafe/seating area upon entry which makes hot food and drinks. Easy parking outside too with plenty of spaces.

The Wiiloughby Leisure Centre is located in Small Street, Willoughby. It is very close to Hallstrom Park and the Incinerator Café. The centre has many sporting facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, basketball and netball courts. The centre is also adjacent to the Flat Rock Baseball Diamond Oval.

Certainly if you want to get fit and keep fit, this is the place to go. The centre conducts swim classes and there’s a health club with various gym equipment.

Small Street can get very busy especially on Saturday during the netball and soccer season. There is plenty of outside free parking but this does get challenged during the netball season.

Rude lady at the counter was purposely being difficult and sarcastic. She was very unhappy when we asked if the third child discount was available and started making sarcastic and unprofessional comments.

Great facilities, it is a nice place to give yourself some time. Good for beginners who would like to give more on swimming. This leisure center is also good on spa's and gym.

Was excited a day for gym, wouldn’t let us in because we were 16. Small gym, poor range of equipment, terrible customer service. Won’t be going anytime soon.

Very clean pool and facilities. I have been to other public pools in the area, and this is by far the cleanest of the lot. If cleanliness of the pool matters to you, this is by far the cleanest. Keep up the good work guys.

Grate and cheap as well not too busy and awesome front desk very helpful and positive.
The guards around the pool are to intrusive and over the top and too demanding, needed of a younger staff. But 4 gym/chill and spa is the best in the area

The manager (Sam) is the single most rude, inexperienced, arrogant and disrespectful person one can expect.

My son (8) goes to swimming lessons here for last two years and our experience has been very good so far. Even am taking my adult swimming lessons here and for adults it really depends on the instructor. My current instructor is very senior and experienced and very systematic and professional teaching.far better than all the previous ones, who weren't that effective.shower facilities were good. But currently is under renovations and hence bit of a hassle.
