7 I came to withdraw my money to pay contractors. Waited out front from 9: 25 until they opened their doors at 9: 30 to be told that they cant withdraw my money for me due to their system was down, for atleast 30mins-1 hour. I asked the teller if i could change my withdrawal limit to the required amount, they advised i would need to call westpac to do this. (whats the point in having a branch) to have followed it up with "but the maximum they will allow would still not be the required amount"
so now Im paying 4 people to stand around waiting til you figure out how to operate! SWITCHING BANKS
To the credit of the man working, he handled my frustration wel! L the 1 star goes to him! The -4 goes to westpac, for not having it together!
Not only have they shut this branch due to covid, they have decided to turn off all the ATMs. We now have to leave the suburb and go to another branch.
Love the Westpac cost cutting model.
Brandon Strohmayer is the friendliest Westpac worker in this branch and maybe at whole westpac. He was really helpfull and has a good attitude. He knows how to serve customers.
Didnt acknowledge me for a while before they made it seem like the hardest thing to tell me some simple information.
Legitimately the worst Westpac branch in Sydney.
Was told at the counter they don’t accept coins for deposit. I was depositing about $5000 (as a business customer) and of that money there was maybe 15 coins in total.
Asked for the manager and argued for them to accept the coins. They finally caved.
It’s this petty stuff that makes you change banks. What they fail to realise is I bank with them exclusively as a relationship manager customer - with four business accounts including POS, two personal accounts, a home loan, a house insurance policy and my wife has BT super.
Customer service people! Very nearly lost me as a customer that day.
The opening hours have changed. They are not open on Saturdays now.
