Zero experience in Customer Service. Greatly disappointed with the service. The security guy even nicer than the CS, sorry they have to replace the CS because they are not helpful at all. Waste of money and waste of my time to talk to the CS lady. I am sorry. They are being careless for nonsense and no reason at all. Seems like they do not understand the value of customer and how to help a customer.

Old fashion bank, feels like you are banking with a bank from 19th Century, no customer service, long wait, requires you to have more than to photo id to be identified. Absolutely terrible bank, I was victim of identity theft but still the indifferent officers after 2 hours of waiting told me that my passport is not enough to identify me and asked me to come back with additional photo id. This is not what we expect on 2023 from a bank

This is unfortunately an aweful start to my link with Westpac. I banked with Westpac a while ago and then stop. I decided to give Westpac a go as my secondary banking institution. I tried to set up an account online and despite my best effort, the system was not able to verify my ID, which is fine, it might be even my error. I was told to go to the branch. The closest one to me is Haymarket. The reviews for the branch have been aweful but I thought I would give it a go and may be it would be different. Sadly, the reviews were true, this is the worst bank branch I have ever visited, including banks in less developed countries.it was dark and it was in such a mess. I waited for the enquiry desk staff for 10 minutes listening to this woman complaining about the ATM outside that ate her money. When it got to my turn, I told the lady why I was here for, she took my ID and was about to do the check. Another lady came along and asking her to go away elsewhere, took the card from her and handed it back to me and told me to go UPSTAIRS where there MAY BE bankers that can help me. I was absolutely appalled by the approach. I asked if I have to queue again upstairs and I was told EVERYONE is busy so there may be queue, I was like, nope, I have been waiting and got to the counter, sort this out. She still sent the lady away and begrudgingly checked my ID and stated that I have another profile with Westpac, I was like probably from the past. She was like if you want to merge the profile, you NEED TO MAKE ANOTHER APPOINTMENT.uh 1.why do I care and 2.why do I need to make another appointment if you have established that both profiles are me. The service is aweful. I would never step foot in that branch again ever. This branch should long be closed.

Wish there was a zero to give! Very Very rude staff and awful customer service. They can’t understand simple English but know the skill to brush off people easy! I was asked to come back after one hour at 3pm exactly when they shut down at 4 pm. Imagine!

We're two travelers who had to identify themselves after opening an account online. One staff member immediately sent us upstairs where we spoke to a very kind lady at the counter. We then had a talk with Lina. She set up our accounts while explaining everything to us in a very kind way. We felt very comfortable! I don't get the bad reviews:)

Just been there yesterday spent 2 hours talked to 3 people. Last one was Lambert Sun. He advised us that they cannot take loan application in their branch call this number he said after talking to his manager. They asked me a day before to call the number to withdraw my loan application to apply a joint loan application in the branch because joint loan application can be only made in the branch so I did. So confused and frustrated.

I was a bit worried about going to this branch because of the low rating and bad reviews but was pleasantly surprised. I opened a student account and it took very little time. Nikita Braker helped me and she was very polite and patient and got the job done quickly and efficiently. I’m non-Chinese and experienced no rudeness and was not ignored like some of the reviews say. They were also very kind and patient to some of the elderly customers who had some troubles understanding the digital instructions.
Definitely recommend this branch

Frank is super helpful, extremely patient and solved all my problems today. 5/5 for Frank’s friendly service! Frank is the best! Wish I could give him 10 stars! Fantastic experience at Westpac Haymarket with Frank!

Absolute worst customer service. Went to get a personal cheque. Was asked to wait for 5 minutes because they were out of Cheques. Waited for more than 10 mts while they were serving other customers and got no response. Had to leave without even getting the cheque.

I confirm the others reviews.terrible customer service.
The lady at the counter had very bad attitude.
Employees were speaking Chinese in the front of me. (Usually I don't mind but not in a bank!)
I left the place without fixing my issue as I even didn't get a chance to sit with a banker.

I will have to go to another branch.
What a waste of time.

Can confirm other negative reviews are correct.
Wow, this is the branch from hell! Rudest possible service you can get in a bank. If you aren’t of Asian decent be prepared to wait while other customers of Asian decent walk in after you and get service first.

I applied for a credit card, which was conditionally approved. Had to go into the branch for identity check.

A month later, I called Westpac only to be asked to go to the branch again.

This time, the person in the bank says you can do this on a call, we can't help!

On further negotiations, the banker asked me to call Westpac Credit Card hotline so the banker can speak with the Credit card people.

Called up the hotline, only to be told that they cannot transfer the call to the banker, so the banker has to call the hotline themselves. Seriously? Does Westpac realise this is 2021?

Conclusion: They have reviewed my identity 3 times now, but still don't know when will I receive a credit card, if I will ever.
Customer service was horrible, no one knows what they are doing, they just keep throwing off responsibilities to one another.

Walk in, lady at the desk looks you up and down and then ignores you. I think she may realize she failed at life. No sense of customer service, won’t be returning.

Westpac, you can’t decide to open one day and close another. At least update your opening hours, it’s a joke. Between Broadway to town hall there is 3 or 4 branches, westpac can’t keep one of them open even at reduced hr, like you were. Rubbish customer focus. I’ll be changing my banking as a result of this.

Requested a business debit card twice at this branch. Filled it paper work twice, both times no paperwork filed. Incompetence is the product you can get here

Horrible service, i just want to withdraw my money, because my card doesn't work, The Asian banker gave me a very strongly bad attitude. Throwing receipt and my id card, my id card fell into the floor, and she didn't even apologize! What! Not even busy! Only 2 customer including me
If manager read my review, please check if she has any personal problems in her life, just quit the job if you don't like to work! Rather became trash worker.
