Werriberri Cottages reviews
23Lovely, clean and modern cabins. Yummy offerings of fresh bread, jam, eggs and milk. We loved putting a log on the fire and warming our scones on top. Beautiful little fairy wrens greet you in the morning with fabulous walks on the property including a waterfall bush walk. We took our little dog who had a ball! The tearooms nearby are a must with the best scones I’ve ever had! We can’t wait to come back soon.
What a beautiful place and great host! We had such an amazing and peaceful weekend, the cabins are not only beautiful but comfortable and with little treats from the host that made our stay a very happy one!
Absolutely delighted with the location, layout and quality of our accomodation over two nights at Werriberri. Quiet, private and close to hiking trails. Comfortable, warm and very well furnished with a well designed functioning kitchen. However, the absence of shampoo, conditioner and a bodywash was disappointing particularly as this was advertised. It would also help if there were a few more cooking ingredients, i.e. Herbs and spices, vinegar, mustard, relish etc. That said, the eggs, bread, trail mix and cereal were very much appreciated. I am reluctant to criticise as we had such a lovely experience.
Such a lovely stay! Despite the cold weather outside, the cottage was cosy and we had a fire going. Our dog also had a great time exploring the property. The local bread, eggs and granola waiting for us on arrival were a lovely touch.
Cabins are very well equipped and clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is quiet and peaceful and an easy stroll to the cafe across the street. Will stay again!
My family and I were excited to find your site while looking for accommodations to spend five nights while vacationing this coming March. When looking to book, we see that you are for discriminating and segregation, so we are chosing another location.
Andy and Ash were amazing hosts. Remarkable location with excellent amenities and facilities. My wife and I both had such a great time escaping the city and would come back in a heartbeat.
Great place! Recommended for everyone! We stuck in Megalong Valley cause of rain. Andy and Ashleigh offer us their cottages! True spirit of Australian people. Whole community in Megalong is so helpful. If you wanna visit Blue mountains go there!
My friends and I spent the weekend in Werriberri Cottages and we had a great time. The cottages are well equipped with everything you'll need and the rooms are very tidy. Andy and Ash were quick to respond to our questions and were very accommodating as well.
It was raining throughout our stay but that didn't stop us from exploring the nearby trails as there are heaps to choose from. There are outdoor tables around the area where you can setup a nice spread for lunch or dinner.
As the place is well within nature, please expect different types of insects and wildlife - mostly harmless. Be careful when driving in the rain as the road leading to the place from Blackheath is windy.
Overall, would highly recommend for a relaxing getaway from the city. My friends and I can't wait to be back soon.
This place is beautiful, cottages are lovely and they have "something"that you can feel like home. Owners are amazing people with big hearts, we have stuck in megalong for one week because of the road collapse and all we needed was a parking spot for our camper, they offered us one of the cottages and they were super helpful, friendly and just amazing:) best place we have evere been to!
cottages and, warm.welcoming and
Beautiful place to stay: it’s warm, cosy, picturesque and the hosts of the property were so friendly and welcoming, I’ve been twice now; both winter and summer, we absolutely love it. Can’t wait to visit again
Werriberri is such a beautiful, peaceful location, featuring comfortable, well-appointed cottages. They are perfect for friends to book separately, and come together for meals and activities etc. Werriberri is situated on a large parcel of land with beautiful native bush, and our cottage had views of the escarpment above. There are walks onsite and a tennis court, and Blackheath is only a short drive away. They also graciously allowed us to charge our electric car from our cottage (do ask for permission first). The only downside was earthmoving equipment on site during our whole stay which we weren't notified about beforehand. While it wasn't too disruptive, we certainly missed out on some of the tranquility we were expecting.
Beautiful and quiet location, spectacular view, friendly hosts, cosy cabin with everything you need. Bush tracks on site so you can go for a wander. Overall very relaxing. Highly recommended.
Want to escape? This is the spot for you. There is nothing quite like when the afternoon sun lights the escarpment in merigold and rusty hues. The tranquil peace while walking through the loamy tracks throughout the valley remind me of my blissful childhood adventures. Wonderful spot.
Love it! We took our 2 dogs and 2 yr old son to escape the city. He loved it with a very close waterfall not far from the cottage, kangaroos very morning & evening, plenty of birds and the wooden fire The hosts respect our privacy but pleasing to cater for us (considering we forgot toys for the little one) and the dogs came alive with smells of the bushes. Local walks are close by and if you want a tea house is across the road from the entrance. I wanted to go back as soon as we were approaching home but it wasn’t to be.give it a go you will love it
Staff are friendly, the fire in the cabin is warm and the surrounding bush is huge and makes for a nice walk. Just remember to bring food/supplies with you, the nearest shops are about a 15 min drive away up a very windy road. Really nice place, well worth a visit.
My partner and I and our doggo, had the most amazing stay at Werriberri! The drive to the location was spectacular, the land where the cottages are located is breath takingly beautiful and the cottages themselves are picture perfect! Great walking tracks to explore at your doorstep taking you on journeys to creeks and waterfalls! Then to come back to a warm cosy wood fire and enjoy the view of the surrounding cliffs!
One of the most memorable stays we have had, and a special shout out to the great hosts Andy and Ash who were so friendly, helpful and accommodating!
We will most definitely be back!
It's peaceful, clean, relaxing and perfect to balance our intense city lives! My family and dogs loves this place and the hosts are so lovely!
Andy and Ash are natural hosts with a generous and personable approach. The Megalong valley is an idyllic natural setting with the sandstone escarpment rising up above the gum forest on all sides. The cabins are also directly across from the famous tea rooms which have a decades old scones recipe that hasn’t changed since we started going there all of those years ago.
The location is fabulous and the cabins are very cosy with everything you need for a weekend away.
