Waves Fitness & Aquatic Centre reviews
49Over-crowded, overly strict lifeguards with poor communication skills, on busy days should allocate more outside pool space to recreational swimming rather than maintaining all the lap swimming lanes, generally poorly designed with parents struggling to find areas to sit, overall pretty ordinary experience.
Need more up keep on the showers and bathrooms.don't feel comfortable using them any more due to mould and cleanliness.
1. Cashless
2. Rude staff
3. No refunds despite fromt counter error
4. Not enough parking
Nice new aquatic centre with plenty of options for lane swimming, lessons, gym, party room etc.secure lockers and change rooms. A very good cafe as well.
Dan, Nat, mel, Big Dan, &Staff have all done amazing customer service.looking after everyone from the very young to the elderly.
So much fun for grandparents with their grandchildren especially the outdoor water area, Well done Waves!
Steam and sauna room mostly closed. Pool manager even don’t know when wil be open! I I requested full refund and never be there anymore! Very bad management!
Mixed feelings about this place. Facility is great, management not so much.
Had one swimming session for my 3 yo in March 2023. Our family schedule changed and we made an enquiry to move his class to a different time. I was given instruction to send an enquiry online via their website, and received reply on 14th March, ensured that I will be contacted.
It’s now been 2 months, not only that I wasn’t contacted, but I also realised they have been charging me all through.
I contacted them, and was told I need to submit a cancellation form. And in order to submit the form, it seems like I have to pay for all the sessions that we didn’t attend for the last 2 months.
I feel we tried to contact them promptly as soon as our schedule changed, and the intention was to change lesson time, hence we followed their instruction to submit an enquiry instead of cancellation. But WAVES failed to guide us with correct steps, and left us hanging there waiting, meanwhile, they continued to charge us, knowing we were unable to attend.
We still loved the facility and enjoyed the one lesson there, that’s undeniable. I hope our experience is not typical, and it gets resolved fairly. But for now, I am unwilling to give a higher review.
Facilities are good but the costumer service is horrible. They take over than a month to reply regarding a query and completly dodge the questions, replying with 'follow these easy steps' etc. If I wanted those kind of answers I would figure it myself. They take customers as a grain of salt.
Fantastic new facilities, the kids love the splashpad. Cafe serves excellent coffee and breaky wraps as well.
Took granddaughter toswimming lesson. Waves is well set up and easy to navigate around. Nice cafe with range of choices. Cheerful, friendly staff.
Came in the afternoon this week to view the gym, first of all, I have worked in Gym sales before and the membership consultant gave off the worst vibe. I have heard great reviews of this gym but no wonder it was so quiet. The MC at the desk honestly didnt even want to serve me. He was like… before really understanding my enquiry he went straight to… I cant let you in without enclosed shoes. Mind you I have personal training insurance and I had a pair of shoes in the car but the experience was very off putting. He really didnt want a sale today. He was very short and I walked away saying respectfully ‘I guess you are not looking for business’ he smirked and sat back at his seat. Great first impressions guys well done!
Since the remodel it's absolutely top teer
Even at 6am the outdoor pools are at 25 degrees
Waiting to pay to get in can take a really long time. Why don't they let you buy a pass online and skip the que scan a barcode or something. They also have a large pool that's never open as they can't get enough staff. I do not recommend this place.
Excellent gym with latest equipment and a good pool, there is an area for the kids to have water play as well.
Outdoor 50m pool closes at 7: 45pm which is too early. Indoor pools water level bit low for adults especially if you are tall.
This place needs proper management. Front desk staff have no idea what they are doing and you can spend half the day waiting to get in. Its a really nice centre just a shame about some of the front desk staff and the speed and skill level they operate under.
Great local pool the kids love coming here there is lifeguards, it can be very crowded on hot days and weekends.
Great place to go even in the rain as there is plenty of shade structures. There is also an indoor pool for younger kids.
1 outdoor pool, indoor & toddlers pool outdoors. Pretty good, shelter around, table areas, and always has at least 3 swimming lanes outdoors. Also has a gym, has quite a few people on busy days, and a nice deep end of the pool, which tends to be quieter away from the crowd. Parking outdoors walking distance. Friendly staff
Real shame that this place is closing down for refurbishment. Looking forward to the finished article
