Ward Park reviews
30This beautiful park is located adjacent to a large community housing complex known as "Northcote, " making it a beloved spot for the residents. The Sydney Light Rail station, "Surry Hills, " is situated along its northern boundary. The park features swings, a skate park, and a designated area for children to play. Additionally, it serves as a peaceful spot for leisurely strolls and provides a relaxing space for pets. This charming park boasts majestic old trees and an array of modern flower plants, creating a delightful environment for all to enjoy.
Este parque é o melhor banco que você pode ter para esperar o trem. Aguarde seu transporte aqui. Tem também um espaço muito bom se você tem criança.
This park is the best bench you can have to wait the light rail. Just wait it here. The park also has a great place if you have kids.
A nice restful park directly next to the Surry Hills light rail stop. 2 playgrounds and facilities.
Two playgrounds, a fenced-in one for smaller children on the west side and one for larger kids on the east side. The East one has a climbing frame, flying fox and perhaps Sydney's smallest skate park.
One barbeque with benches nearby.
One toilet (the City of Sydney timed one) with a temporary one as well.
Two bubblers
Just steps from the Surry Hills light rail stop.
Ample green space for picnics and quite a few benches for sitting as well. You'll find two picnic tables in the shade on the southwest corner next to a ping pong table
Plenty of room for kicking football & a fenced off area for young kids with slippery dip swing etc.as well as running track & BBQ for adults or family.
Great playground for kids, not great for dogs, well not secure for dogs. It's situated just below a huge commission block, so sadly a bit of rubbish around
Nice little park in Surry Hills next to the tram stop (light rail) with a playground and a barbeque area. Lots of people walk their dogs here.
Love this park and I walk my dog here a lot! Lots of other friendly people around:) Come say hi if you see me with my 8month old chocolate dachshund ️
Good place to get out to with your doggo.
Close to the light rail & Crown st Cafes/Restaurants
Very big spacious open plan park ️ luscious green everywhere & right in the middle of the city ️
Saturday morning 9.30 is BBQ ďay with a picnic area and there is a playground for the kids dogs are fully welcome ànď all attendees are friendly ànd a toilet is situated òn the north-western side of pàrk
Nice little local park with skate boarding and children playground. Very popular hangout for people with dogs.
Has toilets. Cafe and light rail next door. No playing fields, just a park. Took one star off because of terrible drainage.
Also has a sturdy table tennis table.
Grate park good for families that want a nice day out at the park with the kids don't worry about that cause this park might be small but it has the works starting from mini skatepark with 2 playground located right next to it so one child can riding why the other child climbs the monkey bars and also community bbq with seating area and don't forget the ping-pong table for you more sporty people put there an a walking track
Not a bad park play thing for the kids and you can walk your dog or just play ball or other things and right nere trams and public transport and allso coffe shops peter
Hitting the steps up the back was great. Target - 70 reps x up + down = 7 sets aka 1 set = up + down x 7.
Lovely & peaceful, perfect place to chill out for a few, or walk yr dog. Nice park for some outdoor play!
Nice park, fly a Kate, kick a ball walk the dog or mother. Green space is always good. More trees
My Best Mate and I explored the cemetery grounds for many hours and it was more than rewarding.
Go give them a slow stroll - particularly the graveyard that had to make headstones part of the wall in one. INCREDIBLE evening.
What it lacks in Facilities, it makes up for in its value to the local community. This place is embraced by the locals for community meetings, birthday parties, BBQs, ease of access to Surry Hills Tram stop from 7 different directions as well as cultural history to the local indigenous peoples. Not to mention it's where the sunday footy is and the local dogs walk of choice!
I work nearby and find it a real shame that I can’t sit here in my break and feel safe. Every day I see people yelling abuse at people just trying to sit down and have a moment in the sun.
We all have the right to attend a local park without feeling scared or that someone will approach us and be abusive. City of Sydney, sort it out.
