Wallsend Medical Practice

Overcharged for consultation visits as was informed my pension card was out of date, which it is NOT. They will discuss this with me only if I’m a current patient, why would I be! To have records forwarded to another Surgery, the charge is $100.00, far more than other places. Dr Priya is always behind time with her appointments, realise now why she sees so many patients, each Dr works independently and is always sending referrals which are sometimes unwarranted.

Dr Kahn was very helpful today with a problem that has been happening for over 12 months. A big thank you to Dr. Kahn.

Upd: They cannot even write in proper grammar, just not much care there about anything. Long story short: they admit the incredible waiting times, but THEY DO NOT CARE TO FIX THAT instead they are laying blame on each patient in every review here.

Yeah your place was so badly unforgettable that the residue of that awful experience made me write a review a year later when I started choosing a Dr for my kids. At least they won't get to sit 2 hours in a waiting room.
Not to mention they misdiagnosed our grandma, they practically looked her in the eye and told her she had cancer and had 3 months left to live. No double checking, no other tests, just straight up. So much care for older people that all they want to do is to give them heart attack.
And the humiliation of like I don't know anything about Australia haha that's so low of you and funny, shows again what you are, maybe you don't know anything about what Drs should be like from ethical and moral side.

FYI: my feedback was sent to you along with the medical documents inquiry a year ago to the exact same e-mail address, you didn't bother answering. So stop laying blame on your patients and change your management, obviously you are not qualified for the job.

This place should be reported for inadequate treatment plans, rude attitude to pregnant women and kids waiting for more than 1 hour, disrespect to patients in general, not being able to get anything on time (what's the point of an ARRANGED appointment? Rhetorical question). Hire one more doctor to help others if they are falling behind or make slots bigger between appointments, not 10 minutes per person but 40 minutes!

Dr PRIYA charges for anything and everything, and she can't even transcribe test results in proper manner to patients, highly unprofessional, doesn't even know the procedure of prescribing antibiotics to pregnant women. Can't give any documentation for other Drs in other countries to see the tests I've taken as a pregnancy process related. Looks like they are either not officially working cause cannot give any proper documentation or something fishy is going on in there, maybe scared for other Drs to see how unprofessional she is.

Alternatively to waiting for 1 hour is a 75$ phone call when Dr is not replying to any questions and hangs up on her patients, saying you are ALRIGHT, apparently it is now called a consultation.
NEVER GO THERE, LOOK FOR OTHER PLACES!

The doctor demands money for every treatment and examination. The worst place I've ever seen. Don't come. It constantly asks you for unnecessary tests.

Attended this practice last week with my 1 year old girl, very friendly staff, promptly accommodated my requested time and i was able see the female GP and Nurse in timely manner.keep up the good work.

Terrible experience with male doctor and I left the practice in tears. I called and I spoke to reception in the arvo and I asked for the practice manager’s name and turns out she is the wife of the doctor I seen so I said “never mind then she won’t be of any help” reception said there may be someone else called Cher who can help. And I’ve spoke to the practice twice and still haven’t heard from “Cher”. Last time I spoke to the receptionist was because she called about another matter and I explained I was waiting for someone to call and she wasn’t surprised no one had gotten back to me. The place is a shambles it’s no wonder doctors don’t stay there very long not under this regime.

Was under the understanding that this was a bulk billing medical centre. It wasnt until i was about to leave when the receptionist called me back to ask for $50. Really disappointed that it wasnt disclosed to me earlier. There was a sign at reception which was on the counter behind the receptionist.

Edit. The owners then used my PRIVATE MEDICAL INFORMATION to contact me directly and ask I remove the review

Great professional service from the medical receptionists, phlebotomists, nurses and of course GPs. Conveniently located in Wallsend Village near Coles and Aldi. 5 stars

I've always been treated well. All the drs are lovely. The reception staff are very helpful. Overall a good experience.

Thank you Wallsend medical centre and all the wonderful doctors and nurses, pathology and admin stuff doing an amazing job. Always a pleasure coming to Wallsend doctors. I would never go elsewhere. Priya is a wonderful doctor and very thorough. I'm glad she's my doctor. Also Sandy from Pathology, is always nice. And all the admin staff too. I can't remember their names, but they're always lovely. Looking forward to getting my vaccine next month. Everyone who works here is very nice, so thank you I understand that the staff would be doing long hours. So thank you. I appreciate the service in difficult times.

Dr Priya Mehrotra is one of the best Drs I have ever seen. Am happy to have her as my GP. She gives her patients a listening ear, and talks to you nicely. All the staffs I don't really know their names. Just keep the good work going.

I would definitely recommend this practice.
I've been attending this place for quite sometime now and I feel this place is really evolving in patience to deal with all kinds of personalities and behaviours. There have been times when I had to wait and there have been times when I got served very quickly. It all depends on that very day how things have been. I have witnessed patients getting aggressive over the staff for waiting very long before getting attended. There are clear instructions about "To please approach the staff if you've not been attended in 15min" but some people are just too busy with their head stuck in phones that they don't realise their mistake but take it out on poor staff. I felt sorry for the staff on multiple occasions while waiting myself for my turn. I just want to say to the staff, Please don't let these low heads get on to you. These are testing times and instead of cooperating with patience, they humiliate you. It's not you but them. I feel sorry for them. You should too. Forgive these low heads and keep doing the great job, that you all have been doing.

The staff here were amazing and very well organised! All of them were extremely helpful and clear in their instructions to keep the queue covid safe and moving while I waited to get my covid vaccine. The nurse was clear in her questions and in what needed to be done for aftercare as well as any side effects we may have as a result.

Despite having a couple of patients be impatient with them (as well as screaming children) they kept their cool and continued providing exemplary service. I really appreciate the work they do and that they are able to keep smiling despite being under tremendous pressure.

Reception staff is very hardworking and dedicated to provide great customer service. They always go extra mile to give me General Medical Appointment booking according to my time availability. Quite handy practice on weekends and they are doing great job with vaccinations. Other day I had an opportunity to talk to practice manager and I must say that she is an amazing person and very professional. Tele-consult is the best thing they are doing during this pandemic.
