Waitara Oval Playground reviews
19This place was good at one time now it's getting overcrowded with ghetto apartment building everywhere parking is becoming a headache stay away unless u really have to go there
Great bubbly atmosphere and multicultural feel. Mark Taylor oval is a perfect addition for an area with multi storey apartments.
Waitara oval has to be one of Sydney's best park facility's. My gym Pcyc is there, cricket club, football club, tennis club, athletics club and the best playground ever for kids. A real community hub for Waitara and Hornsby.
A really great park with a huge variety of things to do, form infants right through to teenagers
Lovely playground although very busy in late afternoon/evening. Well maintained & cafe nearby
A little paradise for children. If you post on Moments, they may think that you have gone to an Asian country or returned to China.
One of the best playgrounds in Sydney. Excellent equipment, good atmosphere, great visibility to be able to keep an eye on the kids. And there's a Super Nash place right next to it for bonus points.
Even though there is no grass on the pitch due to upgrades it's still the home of HRUC! A great place to play and enjoy some local rugby union and get a great feed as well. This is the Clubs 60th Anniversary pity we can't play at Waitara Oval!
Need 3x the space it currently has. This place is super crowded. It's a fun place for the young ones with most equipment well maintained (except for a broken trampoline and over zealous bubbler). Would have rated it higher except for the lack of space. It's mostly because the children's park caters to a wide age group of children & dense unit development in the area.
Update: the trampoline is fixed
Beautiful playground at the PCYC Hornsby wit clean toilets and a nice chicken takeaway shop. Lots of great play equipment for kids. My daughter loved it.
All you want from a Park.play ground, proper toilets, a green oval where kids and adults can play cricket, soccer, rugby and whatever can be played on grass. Dogs can't run free so it's good for the kids that are afraid of. Tennis courts, cages to practice cricket. One table with chess board, just one ping-pong table. Like many other parks it has electric BBQ but also Super Nash Brothers which offers chicken burgers and tenders (not great but acceptable even if the price is a bit high for a fast food in a local park).
Long story short; a place to pass an hour with your kid or running and do some exercise.
Great park with a good mix of play equipment. Can get busy and rowdy so something to bear in mind timing wise.
Large equipment based playground.heaps of kids at most no-school times for kids 2 to 12. Some shades and two electric BBQ hot plates and sheltered seating. Park car at end of Park ave.
Great park for toddlers and even babies. Huge fenced off playground with shaded areas. It can get pretty packed during the weekend but the play equipment are pretty well maintained.
This is one of the the newest local playgrounds with some great equipment, toilets and is fully fenced. BUT it is usually so overcrowded, lacks shading in many areas and there is absolutely no any greenery around. Besides older school kids often come here with their bikes and scooters and play speedy racing within the playground (esp during school holidays period). So it becomes quite dangerous for babies/toddlers.
Pros: got everything your kid need;
Cons: overcrowded sometimes, very little shade area, one of the BBQs isn't working and the other is always super-dirty.
A very new and well equipped park.
Can be a little bit crowded especially on the weekends before and after lunchtime.
The bigger slides there might be too high for smaller children.
Fantastic park. Lots of equipment for the kids to play on including swings, slides and a large tower with an enclosed slide. There are barbecue and picnic facilities, and a small grasses area for picnics. Parking is plentiful and nearby. Orana Park is across the road and is great for younger kids.
