I have been visiting the Macquarie St practice over the past few weeks for acupuncture for a few ailments (shoulders, knees, hamstring) with Brendan. At first, I was sceptical as to whether this would help or not, but following enthusiastic recommendations from some work colleagues, I decided to take the plunge. I was glad I did! After years of putting up with a bad neck, back and knees and countless chiro/physio sessions I’d given up and just managed my injuries.
I randomly met Cameron from Village Remedies Balmain at Marrickville Markets Sydney giving out free assessments. I’d heard of Chinese medicine and acupuncture but never had it done.
Long story short after a month of acupuncture once a week and Cameron assessing me and treating the root cause of my issues I now just give him a call when feel I need some acupuncture.

I visited Cameron at Balmain in April when visiting from the UK in the hope that acupuncture might help my restless legs - he was really professional and the treatment certainly worked. I returned again in September and once again he worked miracles for me in his calm, caring way. I would highly recommend the clinic and only wish I could find someone as good in the UK!

I've been seeing Gavin for treatment over the past 6 months & really value his extensive knowledge, professionalism & relaxing nature.
I booked the sessions to help with some hip issues I'd been having post training, I was diagnosed with bursitis a couple of years ago. After the first session, I saw amazing improvements to my hip & my overall balance.
The sessions also really helped me to manage anxiety & stress - a truly balancing and restorative experience.

I cant recommend Village Remedies in Balmain highly enough. After only a few acupuncture sessions my wrist injuries (from a fall) had healed really well and attention turned to a shoulder/rotator niggle that id been carrying around for way too long. When I presented at the clinic with a bulging disc in my lower back and chronic nerve pain (sciatica) down the left leg, giving acupuncture a try was my last hope before resorting to surgery.
After a couple of treatments with Gavin, the pain began to shift and within 6 weeks had diminished significantly. 3 months later I'm pain free. No leg or back pain at all, and no surgery necessary. Quite amazing really.
I've had acupuncture from numerous Sydney practitioners over the years for a variety of issues, but none has had such a positive effect as this treatment from Gavin.
