Velocity Electrical

I've used Velocity for a number of jobs over the past few years and they are my go to for home electrical. On 23 Oct 20 Matt came to install a ceiling fan with light and remote in my home office and his work was excellent. I'll be comfortable working from home this summer.

I called the business for a quote, which I agreed on. The tradie arrived, had difficulty with the job, and also replaced a dimmer switch that now doesnt dim. On leaving he said 'I've gone a little bit over but we won't worry about it'. When receiving the invoice it was well above the original quote, as they had charged me extra time and another $100 for a service fee which wasn't mentioned when quoting over the phone. When I called the office to discuss my call was placed on speaker and I was subsequently mocked and jeered by the male team, then abruptly told to 'pay the invoice' and hung up on.
I have since engaged another electrican who sorted the dimmer out with no issues at all. It is because of this experience I am rating this business with 1 star which i have every right to do. I would definitely not recommend using this business.

Very impressed and happy with the service. James was clearly extremely knowledgeable and my (american) wife enjoyed the explanation on the difference between AC/DC. The work replacing an old dangerous fuse box was swift, neat and top class. Recommend

Always literally always on time. Fantastic service. Never seen an electrician clean up after himself and so quickly. Great experience and polite.
