Wowza! I absolutely adore this place; though I've frequented it over the years, my usual choice was delivery. Opted for a dine-in experience this time, and it exceeded expectations. The ambiance is fantastic, the staff exudes warmth, and the cuisine is not only delicious but authentically transports me to Thailand. Mid-meal, I found myself planning a Thailand trip, spurred by the exquisite flavors.

The Pad See Ew was precisely what I craved, the coconut rice struck a perfect balance between sweet and salty, complemented by the satisfying crunch of toasted coconut. The Crying Tiger, a visual delight, arrived enveloped in smoke, evoking the essence of a vibrant Thai street market. A must-order to impress. The attention to detail with things such as the elegant big leaf plates and serving dishes are so appealing; I'm tempted to acquire some for myself.

The atmosphere radiates a relaxed vibe, and while I didn't BYO this time, it's a plan for the next visit. A genuine treat, and as a delightful surprise, homemade mango gelato was generously offered. Highly recommended for an all-around stellar dining experience. This place is a gem, a haven for those seeking an authentic Thai culinary experience in Randwick.

The food in this hidden gems restaurant looks like it's delivered from TV shows or dinning magazines and taste nice as well. The price is affordable. Very impressive and would be back again to discover other dishes.

He is unbelievable. The owner/Chef is constantly drunk. He’s aggressive. He doesn’t care about other people. He damages everything around him.
I don’t recommend going there for your personal safety.

Went with my son to here they new his name when we went in which was nice he and his girlfriend had the 4 weeks old baby too got us a table right away im over from Scotland yes I would go back again great restaurant

We very much enjoyed our meal here. The food was tasty and the exciting presentation of our dishes was a pleasant surprise. The service was a little slow but to be fair it was very busy at the time. Would recommend!

The food is authentic Thai and very tasty. Seasoned for Westerners but still has some kick! If requested. Value for money, good size dishes, serve beautifully.

Food is so lovely and spicy when requested except for the fried dumplings which were more like baked tiny pastries and the reason why I come here.
The staff is lovely too but does not give you an experience you expect when eating out.
Last night felt like I should have ordered take away. People go out for a nice experience and this was not one. Things were missing, asked for them never came and asked again and again at the 4th attempt to get soy sauce and chilli it finally came, we had almost finished the starters that needed sauce, Maybe have one person to look after the many delivery drivers that come in? At some point all staff was doing that and nobody looking after us. In a night with three tables and three staff is hard to overcome that one had to ask four times for soy sauce. The fried rice was lovely but came in a very hard to eat presentation, inside cabbage with lots of things around. All I wanted was fried rice so needed a bowl to transfer it which also took forever. And there were three tables. If it was busy is easy to understand but in a almost empty place not so much.
The food is yummy but the service needs some attention as at the time seems all the staff was worried about deliveries and a table of five, leaving our table of two unattended.

The service at Ummarin was superb, with our waiter making excellent recommendations and paying attention to every detail, ensuring our experience was exceptional. The prices were reasonable, and the portions were generous, making it a great value for money.

Our favorite local restaurant! The food very tasty, the presentation of food is good as well.

The food was amazing and beautifully presented. It was also reasonably priced. We had Masaman beef, chicken pad see ew, chilli jam pork belly, fish cakes, salt and pepper squid, and then finished it off with mango with sticky rice, and homemade mango ice cream. All were tasty but the masaman was a standout. I don't understand the 1,2 or 3 star reviews at all

Food and dessert ate delicious, ambience is also really good. The king prawns with Mango was perfect. And nice mango sticky rice. Will definitely be back to try more dishes

Fantastic Thai curries!

I appreciate that they have a dedicated vegan menu, including fish-free curry sauces with mock meat options (chicken, mutton, duck, prawns) or the standard veggies/tofu option. But they have meat for the carnivores too.

My partner and I have tried various curries and noddle dishes, and the curries are incredible while we find the noodle dishes (Pad Thai, Pad See Ew) to be rather average. Stick to the curries and you won't be disappointed
