Ume Burger

Got takeaway here - very nice patties and meat sauce (like an upscale Mos burger), but the buns were a bit of a letdown - big and dry, and there wasn't enough sauce to really cut through them!

Burgers and side options are very good and taste amazing.

The fish burger is so delicious. Ume burger is my go to lunch spot when I’m working at Wynyard or Barangaroo.

We were craving for some burgers so we decided to head down to Ume in Barangaroo for a quick feed and a nice view. I’ve been here in the past (maybe 2 years ago?) and had good memories of this place.
We ordered the fish burger and the ume burger, plus some chicken karaage and onion rings on the side. Service was quick and staff members were friendly.
The burgers were both flavoursome and the chicken were nice. Onion rings were doubled battered so they are super naughty!
The burgers were both juicy and moreish. From memory the double patty burger was quite good valued compared to the rest of the burgers.
My only complain was that the karaage chicken has made me quite thirsty afterward. Perhaps it was the salt level, or msg…don’t know but I won’t order that again.
Overall, a nice cool place for lunch (not on a windy day though!).

This place has some really great food. I didn't love the burger sauce on the Ume burger but it was different and good. I think the fish burger was probably the best of the burgers.

Late review- A couple months back I organised a group booking of 40 ppl.
The dinner went so smooth!
Ume accommodated a Sunday evening booking, even though they don’t open that late on Sundays. They also made sure there were options for everyone. Including a few vegetarians.
I will definitely rebook another function here when things go back to normal.
Also, the burgers and chips are AMAZING!

Delicious burgers! I ordered the special teriyaki burger and the fish burger. Not a typical fish burger person but damn was it so delicious! Keep up the good work guys thanks for being covid safe

Super easy spot to get a quality bite to eat alongside one of Sydneys most beautiful pieces of waterfront. The staff are friendly and the food is an excellent speedy option for those wanting to get out for a good night exploring Sydneys nightlife.

UmeGOD! Karage chicken burger was so moist and flavoursome. If you're in Barangaroo this is a must burger joint!

Place losses charm, efficiency and any other glory one can think of under high traffic. On vivid Sydney evening, serving time were really off, took over 20 minutes to serve a veggie burger, chips were cold and there was none to clean the tables, had to it on own to offer clean table to the family.best to have a manager looking at tables availability and directing the customer queue instead of just letting a big uncontrolled flow in via cash counter.

Legit. Photos are on wife's phone but a good burger isn't photogenic. Wagyu beef with grill char is special on it's own. Especially when the staff recognizes your bushido cello samurai shirt

If you feel like burgers with a difference this place is perfect, plus you can't go wrong with chips and onion rings with umami seasoning as an add on. Totally recommend the fish burger, kimchi, seaweed salad and the kirin beer! The staff are friendly and helpful providing good service too:)

I’m not a beef burger person but the the Ume Burger here is out of this world. The buns were soft, the beef patties are tender and the vegetables on it are fresh. Yummy!

Seriously tasty Japanese inspired burgers, with perfectly combined toppings with views of the harbour. The ebi burger is the winner followed by the veggie tempura burger. Lunchtimes are busy but the food comes out quick.

Burgers are literally sloppy, buns were fragile and flimsy and could barely contain anything inbetween them effectively. Looked sadder than a 3am Cheeseburger from maccas and cost 10 times as much.

We had menchi and ume burger. Menchi burger was great but i had to SPIT OUT my ume burger because of the beef meat STINK! It is obviously from very old meat or the grill was not cleaned properly and carries fat from old meat. Dont ever eat the ume burger.we just wasted 10 dollars worth of food.

AMAZING BURGERS and chips - honestly can't recommend this place enough AND the prices are so so good for the quality and the staff are lovely. Perfect for your lunch break feed or dinner
