Ultimo Community Centre reviews
7The Ultimo Community Centre is a great place to have a game of basketball or soccer at the courts or to relax and read a book at the library or to relax at the different seating area through out the centre including the many communities hall available there. It is also good for families to bring there young kids to play on the playground at the centre and there is also a women library onsite as well.
The staff admin is not friendly and I am asking about how to get certificate vaccine because single name and he said I must waiting for 3 days even I had got IHI Number. Not give solution and the services not really nice
Great community centre with 5 ping pong tables, courts for Sports.
Volleyball on Saturdays mornings. Showers with hot water
Good centre for the locals to hang out. A rooftop football and basketball court. Nice views of Ultimo and the CBD from the upper levels. Also walk around the area and you'll see the quaint cafes and heritage buildings. Light rail isn't far off if your legs get tired.
Sometimes the people who work there don't get your bookings right and when you come over you don't have any court available to play. Aside that it is everything very good.
This place is so cool! I went here for the first time today, after going to PCYC Marrickville for all of our previous volleyball training session. My group of about 18 people showed up in a court which had nets which prevented the balls from flying outside and injuring others/forcing us to fetch them, but also let the cool breeze in. They had fans you could plug in and turn up too, which were so convenient in this weather. The courts themselves are on the smaller side, but the only problem is that the back line doesn't give enough space for a jump serve. Some other pros tho: the bubblers are ice cold, very refreshing. The staff are really friendly, and they'll give you two volleyballs to start off with when you enter the court. We had our own of course, but that was a cool thing they did. They let us be after they set up the nets for us, and even though we only booked from 12-2pm, they never kicked us out. (psst.we stayed until 2: 40.then we left- they just told us to toss their two balls in the reception office, on our way out.how casual and cool!) Only large downside there is to this great place is that the public transport options here are limited from what i know. The city circle train stations are all 1.2-1.3km away, but it's a nice walk. Will come again!
