Two Good Eggs Cafe

A few months ago, when I visited with a friend, I was extremely satisfied, so I decided to revisit with my family this time. However, this visit was a very disappointing experience. I ordered a different type of brunch with eggs Benedict and avocado. Unfortunately, the bread was completely burnt, and even though the eggs Benedict's bread was burnt, it was served with avocado smash spread over it. I attempted to eat it, but the bread was too tough, and the moment I saw the burnt bread covered in avocado smash, I couldn't bring myself to eat any more. I informed the server, got the bread replaced, but it was still far from satisfying. I won't be visiting again.

Honestly, I’m not someone who normally reviews places but this place was definitely an exception. Firstly, on a 37 degree day there was one fan on with no ventilation whatsoever. There were 10 of us and we complained multiple times yet no aircon was turned on. Secondly, as we were eating my friend felt something crawling on her leg and it turned out to be a baby cockroach - now we all know if u see one cockroach then there has to be more. We then saw a second cockroach a few minutes later that was bigger and happened to call over the owner to show him. He didn’t even care that his cafe was full of cockroaches. No apology either. Besides all that, the food was so basic and had little to no flavour. This place was NOT WORTH the $250 that we spent. Save your money and go elsewhere. Maybe this place needs to shut for a few days to get pest control in. A name change should also be considered - “two bad eggs, and a couple cockroaches cafe”

My partner & I came to visit this morning and I must say that these aren’t just Two Good Eggs, they’re Two Eggcellent Eggs!

Fast & friendly service, amazing food & very nice coffee. We are both feeling incredibly blessed to have found this wonderful little gem that happened to be the only option in the area open at the time (8am on Boxing Day).

Great spot for breakfast or brunch! I had the chorizo and hashbrown stack which came with avocado, poached eggs and toast - it was a big portion and tasty. The manager was welcoming and helpful with the bike we had and the service overall was very good.

10/10 for this breakfast. We had just flown in from the UK so needed a pick-me-up breakfast. Very quick service, friendly staff and lovely atmosphere.

Staff was delightful and food was great. Best breakfast I’ve had in Sydney by far. Owner even gave us a free pastry! Highly recommend

In addition to having quite possibly the best chicken, bacon, & avocado sandwich I've ever had at a cafe, I received prompt, friendly service and a good mocha, all at a reasonable price.

Had a great experience at Two Good Eggs. Didn’t have to wait long, food was great, substitutions were easy, staff are super friendly and is owner operated.

Very lovely little Cafe. Nice menu combinations. The egg Benedict & pancakes were awesome and the right meal to start the day.

Despite the small size of the cafe, and louder cafe style lyes an absolute hidden gem.

Absolutely rubbish asked d the manager to make me another burger as mine came out cold all they did was reheat it. Don't bother over priced slip. Won't be back.

I just needed a coffee and stumbled on this place. I'm so glad I did! ️ Really nice, quirky little cafe on Goulburn St, just down from the Sydney Police Centre.
While I only had my coffee (a pretty good one at that), I could see they had so e fancy treats on offer; I daresay I'll give them a go next time I'm in.

This Cafe is one of the best around. I visited 2 times and not only was the food amazing it was reasonably priced and the portion size was huge. The staff were all very welcoming and friendly.

Baristas that can make good long black, can make any other coffee good. One of the best local cafes in Surry Hills. The quality of food and the coffee, is just awesome!
People are nice there and definitely worth the shot.

Very disappointed by this place. Tables were not cleaned, customers themselves had to clean the tables! Took over 30 minutes to get food but in overall, service was extremely poor.

Rocked up on a Sunday morning. The place was pretty busy but I had to go up to the till twice to get my breakfast ordered. They were clearly understaffed. The food arrived eventually and made up for the wait. Solid breakfast let down by the service unfortunately.

Mixed emotions. I really wanted to love this place because it is the non-pretentious brunch spot I need in my life. The food was well priced and the portions were large. My issue is that the coffee was simply not good, which is meant to be a brunch highlight. I see that others have commented that their coffees were excellent, so maybe their barista was absent when I visited. But it was during Sunday brunch! You need to have someone who knows what they’re doing making coffees. I mean come on!

However I haven’t found anywhere that feels as authentic as this place, so I will try again. If you don’t want to brunch with the influencers I would recommend it but just hope that their barista is working.

Coffee was okay, but the food tasted AWFUL. Their “croissant” was actually bread instead of real croissant. The food’s like something you could buy from the supermarket and heat up in 5 minutes (How do they dare to charge 3 times the price?) Would not come back again for sure.
