Tweed Regional Aquatic Centre - Tweed Heads South reviews
13Friendly staff going through rehab after knee surgery always plenty of space to do my aqua therapy
I am a disability pensioner who brought my registered career with her baby and 4 year old. The older staff member was very unhelpful and I felt had attitude towards me as I tried to explain we wanted to go in the heated pool. We asked if we could check the big pool temperature and I then produced my cards to pay. Again, I felt I was being glared at and this older lady still seemed to have her nose out of joint. Over $10 and we were in the pool for not very long as it was cold. Another lady then proceeded to come and tell me to get out of the lane as she wanted to use it. She was staff. When I explained I couldn’t get to the opposite side and my carer was there feeding her baby, she returned to the reception where the older lady came over to my carer and was very abrasive and rude even after being explained to that I have issues and am slow to move. Needless to say we left in disgust at being treated like second class citizens. To also not have a hot shower is pretty disgraceful. I’ve recently moved to this area and will not be returning to this pool. Shame as it’s the first bad experience I’ve had in South Tweed
I love this pool and I'm enjoying learning to swim over arm and breast stroke the people are kind and friendly considerate helpful
Dreadful - one word sums up this place.
Unwelcoming reception, super cold pool, terribly outdated facilities and yo get screwed for 20c to have a hot shower. Seriously who carries change with them these days.
We just moved to WA and holy moly, you don't know what you've got till it's gone. Ian the squad coach here is probably world class and we took it for granted (not entirely we knew he was awesome) but since arriving here Ive been blown away with the lack of coaching and just straight unprofessional attitude of coaches. If your child likes swimming and wants to be competitive, this is the place. Bar none, potentially in Australia.
L ASKED WHAT IT COSTS TO HAVE A SWIM BECAUSE THEY DONT DISPLAY THE PRICE. AND THE MALE IN HIS 60'S WAS RUDE AND AGRESIVE TOWARDS ME. HE NEVER GREETED ME WITH A HELLO INSTEAD HE SAID WHAT DO YOU WANT? L DAID THANKS HE NEVER REPLIED. L DRIVE A MOTORHOME MAYBE HE HATES MOTORHOME & CARAVANERS?
Nice quaint pool, bit on the small side but it serves its purpose! Love the Aqua classes offered there, great instructors!
Crystal clear water, clean facilities and very helpful friendly staff. Plenty of parking each time I've been there too
Love this little pool. Indoor suits me because I can't be out in the sun. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The aqua classes are fabulous with qualified and caring instructors.
Reasonable clean pool for $9.60 but you have to pay for hot water 20 cents! For 3 minutes but 1 min you have to wait for hot temperature from. 3 Ridiculous!
A big thanks to Ian the pool manager, who made us very welcome at the swim center over the school holidays by going out of his way to accommodate us. The pool facilities are spotless and staff are true professionals in encouraging swimming not only in the local area but in providing a public facility truly for the public.
I go here every sat & sun.very friendly staff, and great to have an indoor swim out of the sun.
Really needs some work done on it. I was nearly sick when I saw all the dead skin stuck to the plastic lane separators.
The rubber on the stairs is coming up and I got my foot stuck in it getting out and nearly fell.
The ceiling has cracks in it which I find scary as it's a old building and cement.
Sometimes the smell of chlorine is so overpowering I cant breath. They need to open the windows.
Also they should have pension concessions.
