Tuross Beach Cabins & Campsites reviews
41Amazing place to stay with the family. Beautiful beach right in front. Rooms are clean and tidy. And the owners were so friendly.
Very rude owners/staff. Despite being in a beautiful location in a very friendly beach town, this place is super disrespectful to locals. They have signs telling children that they aren't allowed to play on "their" park and got up my family for walking (with a pram) on their path instead of struggling along the sand. Their behavior is childish and disrespectful.
If they actually cared about the "safety and security" of their guests they'd put up fences instead of verbally attacking parents trying to get off the beach with a pram.
Nice friendly staff. Cabin setup with everything you need. Beautiful view and direct access to private beach. Undercover parking for your vehicle with the raised cabins. Fair price for location and view.
Be sure not to stray onto the property if you're not a guest. There's a very angry little man who will escort you out.
Beautiful spot. Just a shame about the female relief manager. Very rude and talks to you like a two year old, her partner was lovely.
Powered site ON the beach for our Motorhome. Only 1 shower block, laundry with a microwave and kettle. There is a clean BBQ area. Walking distance to cafe, restaurant and shops. I’d imagine it would get packed here in Summer. Beach is perfect to swim in and the cabins near us look new. There are also other units behind us.
Great little park with super friendly staff. Our site had beach views beneath the spectacular Norfolk pines. Lovely walking tracks throughout the town which are easily accessible from the park.
We stayed a couple nights in a campervan and stayed in a absolute beach front powered site. Absolutely beautiful location! Pet friendly and super clean amenities.
Beautiful place, beach has difficult access via rocks. OTT rules, bathrooms cleaned between 1 and 3pm no entry, hard when there is only 1 block for the entire site which would be over 50 people, no visitor vehicles or second one on site. Great you can have a dog with you on a Max 3mt lead, only 1 car allowed even if there is room and if you drive a second one in to unload you have the female manager chasing you down to move it, there were a number of us this happened to, there for less than 10 mins. Camp kitchen is poor, a toaster and kettle, nothing like the rec rooms at other places so when it rains you better have a dry outside area at your camp. Bathrooms are old, pretty clean, male manager has a joke with you and is good value. Although it was a lovely place we won't be back due to the lack of customer service. It seemed we were a hassle when wanting to purchase anything if it wasn't with cash. Again lovely but there is a big lack of customer service which puts a downer on your holiday. We understand rules but there is a nice way to explain and speak with people rather than talking down to them.
Its always ashame to leave this beautiful piece of paradise. Ive stayed here for the past 2 years and these beach front sites are exceptional wonderful for kid’s And absolutely peaceful The staff are very friendly and accommodating The amenities are always clean and tidy Would recommend to all my friends and family My husband and I will continue to come back in years to come Big Thankyou to management
We came to stay for a weekend for my birthday with a group of friends, and whilst it was a beautiful spot to camp, the owners completely ruined the experience with their poor attitudes and rude comments. They were extremely pedantic, even came over to ‘inspect’ our site after setting up. They insisted that we set up a certain way, despite us telling them that if we set up the way they wanted, we would have completely been cut off from our friends on the neighbouring site.
We had too many cars to fit on the site, so parked in the marked parking spot near reception (marked clearly on the map given to us by reception), only to be abused in the morning and yelled at to move the car immediately. This could have been resolved easily with a polite comment asking us to please park elsewhere.
We even witnessed people attempting to walk through the caravan park to the beach with a small child being abused and called ‘bad parents’ after not seeing the sign asking visitors to walk around the park to go to the beach.
I would have loved to continue coming to camp at this caravan park, however due to the owners/managers, would never stay here again.
Perhaps a career not working with people would be better suited to the current managers.
Stayed here in a campervan. Fantastic beach front view! Saw tons of lizards around camp and a lot of kangaroos up at the golf course a few minutes away. One thing to note is that if you're driving through like we were you're supposed to be here by 5pm. Luckily the host waited for us as we booked last minute on the go. Friendly staff and the CLEANEST bathrooms!
Staff extremely rude, management is terrible.
The way they spoke to my partner was disgraceful.
The beach as our backyard for 2 nights was wonderful!
The amenities, near the reception, were dated, shower cubicles very small & no shower curtains so clothes etc.get a little wet. They were however very clean.
The powered van sites are oh-so-close to each other! Packed in for sure!
The cost was on the higher end for what we have paid on our trip on the East Coast of NSW. $47 per night during the week. I “think” this has increased to around $50 now.
The beach backyard certainly made up for these little “glitches”.
This place is unimaginably beautiful ️️️ The cabins are so fully equiped, neat and tidy, and also the view is so beautiful ️️. I just couldn’t get over the view. I had my amazing holiday experience
Stayed at a camp site which was located right next to the water, absolutely beautiful. Had access to security safe toilet with a code and kettle toaster and laundry room. The park is well maintained and has beautiful walks near it. Thank you
An excellent site, professionally managed and well furnished cabins. A well recommended place for families
We had a great week in a beautiful setting staying in one of the cabins overlooking a gorgeous beach where we swam everyday. Tony and Deborah were exceptional hosts and run a really great operation.
Worst management I’ve ever had at any accommodation. I don’t want to list all the inappropriate things we endured, just want future travelers to be warned. A real spoiler on an otherwise beautiful place.
Lovely view and nice tidy cabins. I booked and paid for the minimum 2 night stay for 2 cabins for friends for a weekend away for my birthday. When my friends could not make it down for the first night for unforeseen circumstances we invited another couple down to use that cabin. Long story short, management would not allow them to use the already paid for cabin. We paid for a night that our friends weren’t allowed to use. I think the rules are a little extreme. Also all the signs inside the cabin (more rules) were a little over the top. Our first night was completely ruined when we should have been having happy birthday drinks and a lovely time with our friends.
