Tuggerah Dry Cleaners

I had the worst experience with this dry cleaners who have refused to give me a refund.

2 weeks before my wedding I went in and asked if they could steam my dress. One lady said yes, only takes 24 hrs, drop it in on Wednesday and we will have it done by Friday.

The week before my wedding I dropped my dress in on Wednesday, a different lady was working and said "you'll be lucky to have it done by friday". I said "i came in last week and a woman said it could be fine in 24hrs, can you do it? " She said "yeah I guess". I asked if she wanted to check the dress, material etc she said no and hung it up and took my money and details. At this point I shouldve trusted my gut but I was already overwhelmed in the lead up to my wedding and thought how hard could steaming a dress be.

On the friday at lunchtime, the day before my wedding, I had still not heard so I phoned the shop and asked for an estimate, the woman wasn't sure and would get back to me. She phoned me at 2pm and said it would be in at 4, no dramas

As im driving to tugggerah at 4pm, I get a call asking how far away I was, I said 20 minutes.

When I arrive, the woman says to me they rushed to steam the dress today and as it was still damp it got creased in the van
She had sent the delivery driver up to kmart to buy a $30 steamer to steam my dress, that I had paid $180 for. At this point I was very overwhelmed. She nought me into the shop to show me the creases and suggested I might have to buy the steamer to sort it out myself at home
I argued why did I pay for this service, if I was neding to steam it myself anyway. She then offered to sell me the kmart steamer she bought and wanted to show me how to use it.

As we were looking at the dress she said it was very big and the material very difficult to steam, I said when I dropped it off this should've been communicated to me. We began looking at the dress when I noticed 4 huge black oil machinery stains on it. This was a brand new dress only even worn for fittings
At this point I started crying and demanding a refund, she refused to refund and claimed she didn't know what it looks like when I dropped it off, suggesting they were already there.

I wanted to just take the dress, but this was 5pm on friday and I was getting married the next day at 2pm.

She phoned the factory and organised for it to be cleaned and steamed and said she would drop it off in the morning.

I agreed because I didn't know what else to do.

At 6pm she phoned and said they couldn't drop it off and could we pick it up in the morning

My husband had to spend our wedding morning picking up my dress from the dry cleaners.

We have gone in 5 times asking for a refund and get told the manager will phone, or they are our, or there's nothing they can do.

An absolutely horrible service that made my dress worse and has zero customer service, instead either ignores the problem or hides.

Do not go here!

I dropped my wedding gown in to be cleaned and preserved on 12th January and paid a 50% deposit ($300). I was told “your receipt says ‘ready 5th April’, but it will probably be done before that date. We just like to over-estimate. ” It is now 26th June and I still have not received my gown. I have been into the store multiple times requesting an update and am given a different excuse every time. Can I please be told when I will receive my wedding gown back? ! As you can imagine, it’s quite concerning being without your very expensive wedding dress for 6 months and still having no idea when you will receive it back!

I dropped off some hats to have patches sewn onto them. The lady with the really short blonde hair was so rude. There was never a smile, a hello, or any politeness at all. She didn’t ask me any questions about what I wanted. Just wanted to get me the hell out of there. I just picked up the hats and they are so badly done. The seams are all crooked. It’s honestly could have been done by myself and would look so much better. I thought paying and getting it done by a professional would make it look a lot nicer but honestly I would avoid this place overall it’s just not a pleasant experience. Was not cheap
either!

I put in a leather jacket to be dry cleaned and they completely ruined it, Henry the owner was rude and would not compensate me for my jacket, told me my jacket was rubbish and I should throw it in the bin

Avoid this business. Payment in advance required for cleaning of daughters white wedding dress. On pickup, inspection revealed dress to be badly discoloured. He claimed the dress was yellow to start with, and he wasn't responsible, dismissed photos showing white dress as "could have been altered". He then walked away leaving me standing at the counter. A return visit to deliver him with a letter of demand was just shrugged off, again with him walking away from the counter, and dismissively tossing the unread letter into a drawer. Fair trading, and Westfield Centre Management notified.

I took my very expensive leather jacket in for dry cleaning and this place ruined it completely. The owner showed zero concern. I have since found out he also owns the dry cleaners at Bateau Bay shops and Lake Haven. He isn’t registered with the dry cleaning institute and doesn’t care. If I could give him zero instead of one star I would. I would advise everyone to avoid his businesses at all cost. I wish I had read these reviews before I went near him.

Complete waste of money. Don't bother taking your clothes here. They did not clean the coats at all. I'd give them no stars if that was an option.
I took the coats to another dry cleaner who said they had not been cleaned and then did a good job and cleaned them properly.
When I spoke to Tuggerah Dry Cleaners about it they abused me and hung up the phone. Rip off store and incredibly rude!

Centre Management aware of disgraceful service

He takes no responsibility for clothing left for him to clean.

Three wedding clothing items; a formal dress, a pair of ladies dress pants and the groom’s wedding shirt all returned with colour bleached on patchy areas on each garment.

Owner showed no remorse, tried to hide the marks between other clothes, folded pants with staining not visible.

No offer of compensation, argued when we requested to be recleaned saying, “where? I can’t see? I’m not responsible”

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING. THIS MATTER HAS NOW BEEN REFERRED TO FAIR TRADING

VERY DISSAPPOINTED! Won’t be using again for alterations.

They’ve had my bridesmaid dress for 2 months. I need it for tomorow, just called and it’s still not ready. I’m really scared it’s not going to be finished.

The alterations lady has been “off sick” for 2 weeks. They have a lot of stores they promised last week that they would send it somewhere else if it wasn’t finished by Friday. They obviously did not.

So I have a dress that cost $250 that’s been picked apart at the seams and not out back together.if it was just the hem it wouldn’t bother me, I’d wear it long.

The owner takes your money with a smile, when the alteration is done poorly and incorrectly, he just walks away refuse to fix the the issue or refund the money. Don't trust this guy with your clothes!

Owner was extremely rude to me upon losing a set of Geoffrey Beane Business pants. Did not offer to pay for the set and tried kicking me out of the store, absolutely disgraceful behaviour and I will be taking the matter to Fair trade.

Ruined my cousins wedding dress by turning it pink and making the dress all frayed and unwearable. How upsetting. When she asked him about it he responded "It was only handmade, who cares. Go way! " Disgusting human being! How could anyone do this and respond in such a heartless manner. Share and spread the word.make sure they are closed down and no one goes there because they don't deserve your business.
