Transport Heritage NSW reviews
7What an experience, to see all the heritage trains and buses and the way they have been maintained. The steam trains look immaculate.was lucky to experience this on the heritage expo at the central station where they lined up the steam train and the dining car. The buses from the central station gave free rides which lasted about 20 minutes. Hats off to the volunteers and technicians who dedicate their time to keep them ship shape
A volunteer as on board crew member for several years.
Working with the passengers was enjoyable and satisfying.
After EVERY volunteer was written to for the THIRD time during my role asked about the whereabouts of missing first aid kits I considered it an allegation and removed my service. The operations manager wrote suggesting I had past unresolved issues or words to that effect. I told him what he could do or words to that effect. Such contempt. What a jerk.
Crew volunteer from one day up to 11 days in a row as was my case.
The traveling guests often do not know that. What price is a first aid kit?
I drove from Melbourne to Albury today for a trip with 3801 Im not a train buff but maybe from today I have a new interest. Very well organized all staff in uniform all staff very helpful and friendly (Their Volunteers which surprised me) Very pleased with their operation today
They provide a leadership role in delivering a range of support services to the heritage transport sector on behalf of the NSW Government.
If you are visiting for museum experience it's very nice. But if you work there you will realise it's the worst office space, because you cannot see the sky or sunlight. I think after a while you become depressed because it feels like you are locked in a prison cell.
A lovely site, the encouraging signs to get hands on were great, loved the way the architecture embraced & enhanced the excellent exhibits, so much of the original features were still evident & utilised in a sympathetic way. The fact that it was an open & free place made our walk around even better.
