As a dedicated DIY bushwalker this is my happy place. Everything I ever seem to need with friendly and very helpful staff and good suggestions for any problems.

Took my wife and her friend she wanted to buy a Sewing Machine. I waited out side! Job done they bought a Machine.

Fantastic! My wife phoned to enquire about replacing her 21 year old sewing machine, thinking it was not worth servicing. Michael patiently discussed her options and then suggested that, rather than buying a new machine, it was worth repairing.
Michael serviced the machine and it sews as well or better than when it was new. My wife is ecstatic.
He could easily have talked us into buying a new machine for hundreds of dollars but he was so honest and genuine that he preferred to put the customer's need first. This is a rare thing these days. Thank you so much. We will certainly be back

Best value for repairs we found in all of Newcastle and they did a great fast repair job.

Dissapointed in the service and lack of cordiality. A family member took a vintage Singer sewing machine to get fixed for some known problems and was quoted a price, the staff returned and claimed to have fixed additional items, and wanted to charge double the quoted price, without prior approval or consultation. Upon pick up and questioning of additional costs, as a customer she was treated with absolute contempt and utter rudeness. Even though not the full asked priced was payed, upon returning home the sewing machine was returned in worse condition then it was given. It is now being fixed by another company. No stars would have been given if this option was available.

Just love going into this place - always greeted by a smile - been coming here for years. Have bought both my machines from here. Thank You Sew City.
