I got a half realistic and half geometric from Mattia who is great tattoo artist. If you want to get same half realistic and half geometric definitely you should order to him. And that tattoo studio is beautiful and all staff are so kind. I like Tora sumi tattoo.

My tattoo was so so beautiful. Vicki is an amazing tattoo artist. The whole atmosphere was just beautiful. The booking process was very smooth and thorough. 10/10 recommend

Got my first tattoo here with Vicky, she was awesome, gave me exactly what I wanted, Im really happy with how it turned out, looking forward to returning for another soon.

Artists/staff not very open-minded. Quite a disappointed after wasting an entire day to travel to a remote part of sydney, only for them to flat out deny my idea. Weird, since they appeared to agree to it in the email correspondence.

I’ve been here to see Eduardo a few times now and will happily return many more! I went to him for my first big tattoo in August 22, exactly what I asked for is exactly what he drew! A beautiful watercolour artwork of my bird. He was lovely and accommodating and the cleanliness of the place is also very comforting! My bird healed quickly and better than any tattoo I’ve ever had, it is my favourite tattoo and I always show everyone! I went back again to get a different tattoo (done at a different shop) re-worked and he made it look stunning and exactly how I wanted it to look in the first place. Now I can proudly wear it around! (I’ll never get an impulse on the spot tattoo again lol). It is a bit of a trek for me to get to this place but I’d gladly make the time and effort to get here as I am so pleased with the work he has done for me! Thanks again! Hopefully I’ll be back soon!:)

I had previously spoken to 2 other tattoo artists at different studios (not Tora Sumi) and I ended up having a consultation with Eduardo.

This tattoo was really important to me for personal reasons and I wanted very specific components and colours in the design. Eduardo was incredibly kind, patient and took the time to listen to my ideas, whereas my experience with the other artists was very different.

I booked Eduardo and had the tattoo done 3 weeks later. We went through the design together on the day and made some tweaks, but it was otherwise perfect and he was so accommodating and understanding. The whole thing took a few hours and I was blown away by the result.

I was given second skin as part of the after care. It was my first experience with it and I wasn't a huge fan, but they also do cling wrap from what I saw, so you can also opt for that if you want.

I can't thank Eduardo enough for this amazing piece and bringing this idea to life. He is an amazing artist!

The studio itself is really clean and everyone is really lovely and friendly. Their process is to pay $100 booking fee, which comes off the total amount of your tattoo. They sent a reminder text a week or so before the appointment and they were very transparent and honest about their policy (e.g. If you reschedule late or do a no-show etc.). You pay the remaining amount on the day and they accept cash or card (note card attracts a surcharge, as most places also do).

I would highly recommend Eduardo and Tora Sumi! Thank you for a great and positive experience!

I have had really good experiences with Michael Medusa here but I’m not a fan of my latest tattoo from Eduardo.

I think the line work is mediocre & I think he repurposed an earlier Color tattoo to make my black and white one - there is a lot of shading and splashes that don’t make sense with black and white, but would make sense with colour.

I did want a snake & he suggested the snake eating a bird, I think he suggested it because he had already done one previously. It looks a little messy in black and white.

All in all, I don’t think it’s a bad tattoo, I just think it could have been better with the fairly basic concept I came in with. It looks pretty messy & I think it’s because he repurposed a colour tattoo for a black and white one.

I can’t figure out how to post a picture, like I said it’s not bad, just very regular & I would recommend Michael Medusa but not Eduardo.

Wilson Arbis Did the best job on my tattoo, he is just such a gentle soul. Going back for more.

Vicky is amazing. I got 6 tattoos from her (5 in one sitting) and she is amazing. She’s wonderful in making sure the tattoo is exactly what you want before she starts her magic. She is very skilled, super friendly and I’m definitely returning back to her for my 7th tattoo:)

Jay is awesome. He listened to what I wanted. Was totally honest with me about what would work and wouldn’t work so well. His design was exactly what I wanted and the end result is perfection and as I newbie I was not convinced it would be.

Returning to Tora Sumi for a second tattoo, this time to commemorate the loss of someone special, I arrived with a handful of vague ideas I needed help in creating a final tattoo design. Put in the very capable hands of Jay Craig, he patiently absorbed the ideas, creating a final design that was better than I imagined. I appreciated his honesty and guidance on what and would not be achievable, and the care he took and his great attention to detail. Would definitely return to Jay Craig and Tora Sumi again.

Worst customer service I have ever received.
Studio are now attempting to sue me for speaking out about my experience.

I booked my consult with Tora Sumi in July of 2020. I had to travel a 7 hour round trip (from Canberra to Sydney) to get there but was advised the consult could not be provided over video-chat. Consult lasted all of 10 minutes and I was pushed out the door rather quickly. Paid down my $500 deposit to book my tattoo which was a 10 month wait, so it was scheduled for August 2021. Unfortunately, this happened to be when the covid lockdown occurred but instead of pushing back all their appointments once they reopened, they informed me I would be put to the back of the waitlist which was another 13 month wait, pushing my appointment all the way back to late September of 2022.

In the year of 2022, I contacted the studio three times:
• Once in January to discuss the details of my new appointment dates and to confirm it.
• Once in July to confirm I would be charged my original quote given two years had passed.
• And once in the week before my booking to confirm that they would be open on the dates my two-day appointment fell onto (as one of these days was changed into a public holiday for the queens mourning).

I left home at 5am in the morning to arrive at the studio by 10am all to be told that my appointment had been “accidentally” cancelled by an old receptionist all the way back in January of this year.
The studio were unreasonable in attempting to come to a resolution for what had occurred. The best they could do was to offer me a one-day appointment 4 days later. Which would have involved completely changing my tattoo design and would have resulted in my having to pay for a hotel for a further 2 nights (as I had already had a non-refundable one booked that night already).
They held barely any sympathy towards my circumstances, how long I had been waiting for and the amount of effort, time and money I had spent to attend my appointment I had confirmed numerous times with them.

I urge anyone considering booking with this studio to be extremely cautious and aware of the fact you could be waiting a very long time, only to be unexpectedly cancelled on regardless of whether you have paid them a deposit. I have seen other people’s reviews showing that I am not the only person this has occurred to. I definitely would not have attended this studio if I had been aware of these reviews first.

Professional, clean and as fun as a tattoo can be actually had quite a few laughs. Thank you Jin and team.
