I stumbled across this brilliant place last year, I’ve had my haircut by Courtney & Arianne who are both amazing. It’s such a kind and inclusive atmosphere there, it’s always been a very positive experience for me.

The beautiful dog Brando, who is a fantastic addition to Tooth & Nail

Been going here since the beginning of time. They have expertly sculpted my hair from long luscious locks, through receding hairlines, to now expert surgery to maintain wisps of a younger man.

I look forward to the days when I go to just enjoy moisturiser being massaged into my scalp and talk about days gone by.

There is also a dog.

Update: Still going here on the regular and still seeing Alyce and couldn't be happier (and since I posted this my partner now goes here and sees Alyce also)

Tooth & Nail are an awesome hairdresser in the inner west - all the stylists are super friendly, got my last cut from Alyce and she did a great job of deciphering my requirements into an actual cut that suits me and my lifestyle! Would totally recommend!

‘Twas the day before my wedding… A smile and beer awaited me at the entrance, more smiles, a short wait and let the transformation commence!

I’m not one to take too much care with my hair but going to Tooth and Nail makes me realise that good hair care is essential to good living.

Ariane did a superb job with my curly mop and soothed my pre-wedding nerves with her Edinburgh tones while the excellent playlist and orange Moccamaster kept my intrigued.

The result? A happily married man with the photos to prove it, complete with a freaking rad ‘do from these legends.

The place is cool, inclusive and the stylists are generally wonderful people. I’ve been coming to see Alyce since 2018. I stopped coming during that one time in 2020 when the sky fell-in, and we as a society stared into the void.

Kat did an amazing job with my hair. She was very attentive and gave wonderful suggestions and ideas. She made me feel comfortable about an exciting big hair change. The whole salon had an amazing vibe and I adored getting cuddles from Brando the resident dog whilst waiting.

I saw Alyce yesterday to get my hair fixed after getting a haircut I hated at a different salon. She was fantastic, listened to me, knew exactly what she was doing, and I love the result. Highly recommended.

I've been getting my hair cut by Alyce for the past 4 years and she's always done an amazing job. She takes the time to understand what I want and always delivers a great haircut.

More recently, I had the opportunity to try Brendan, and I was equally impressed. He is professional, knowledgeable and takes great pride in his work.

The atmosphere at Tooth and Nail is always welcoming, with a friendly and professional staff who truly care about their clients.

Thank you to the entire team at Tooth and Nail (and Conor for starting it all). But a special shout out to Alyce for her exceptional talent and dedication to her craft.

Alyce was incredibly rude and made my family member incredibly uncomfortable and scared to ask for specifics for his cut, and guilted him time after time with nothing but judgement. I couldn’t not recommend this barber more, for the amount paid for a bad haircut, you’d expect almost a designer experience, but no, just a terrible and mean human who offered a service she couldn’t even provide. All she was doing was huffing and puffing when she was asked to do things which is required by her job. -5/10 if i could rate this place.

The lady at reception was so sweet and kind and the dog that gave me love at the door was much Appreciated!
