I wanted to improve my upper body strength, core and posture to help me with my Latin dance dream, I promised myself I one day I will do the famous dirty dancing lift!

I was looking for a coach who would put my goals first and share their passion for exercising along the way. My experience with gym coaches before was disappointing as they were more focused on their passion for the gym rather than what I was trying to achieve and they weren’t flexible with my busy schedule.

In two months, I have achieved life-changing outcomes from this experience both physically and mentally. My dancing has improved significantly and I feel more confident with what I can do with my body. I completed a dance performance with an Australian Champion in Salsa dancing, being fit made a big difference. I am fitter and stronger and people have noticed. I got a lot of positive feedback from my partner, friends and work colleagues about my physique. I have also established new healthy habits such as eating better and feeling less stressed and more focussed.

Timo Topp is so much more than a personal trainer. I enjoy coming not only for the workouts but the interesting conversations. We talk about our passions and interests such as movies and public speaking. The conversations make it more like a partnership. He has a great deal of wisdom to share about living a healthy life. Rushcutters bay park is also a great place to exercise as I am not a fan of the gym.

With Timo, you have the assurance of having someone at your side who wants the very best for you. He is happy to work around your constraints, be flexible, easy going and empathetic. Timo is a ‘Topp’ coach and I am very thrilled to recommend his holistic personal training service.

I was looking for a good personal trainer in Rushcutters Bay and my friend recommended Timo. Couldn't be happier with the results!

I was looking to get fitter and stronger, nothing huge but some consistency, expert feedback and a nice person to hang out with. I'm not a gym guy and Timo made it so easy: great exercises, good variety, increasingly challenging and accurate feedback to improve.

After the 6 weeks I feel much fitter, traded some fat for muscle and generally feel much better. Definitely recommend!

After years of putting off exercise Timo introduced me to lifting, lunging and long bouts of boxing. His approach is considered, considerate and patient and takes full account of my age and weight. He is the most mature of trainers and I can’t recommend him too highly.

Before I started training, I was not exercising. I was feeling lazy and not very motivated about life. I would spend too much time lazing around on the sofa over eating when I knew I should be more productive. After only a few sessions I was already feeling better! Timo helped me to exercise the right way (Initially I ignored his advice and I did get a minor knee injury when I did too much exercise too soon –  lesson learnt:  follow his expert guidance!) 6 weeks later I am now fitter, stronger and in much better shape. I am feeling so much more positive and motivated for running my busy business. I am so energised, I now smash everyday! Not only is Timo’s training great, he is supportive, fun and so positive. He is the best trainer in Sydney, highly recommend!

I am an active 68-year-old with old injury issues. (Back problems & hip replacement). I had booked a snowboarding trip to NZ with a Heli-boarding bucket list day included. I needed to get stronger and fitter to maximise my time on the mountains. I had already tried some gym-based trainers but the one size fits all, boot camp style didn’t suit my age or needs. After much internet-based research, I decided on Timo. He was flexible in that he agreed to incorporate my use of the Bosu Ball for balance (a must for snowboarding). His approach was tailored for me with a steady measured increase of activity. I am much stronger now and feel great. I thoroughly recommend Timo to help you achieve your goals.

Timo helped me rehabilitate my body after various surgeries. Physio alone wasn't enough. I built back the strength and stamina I'd lost and developed a lot of healthy new habits. He also educated me to the importance of consistency with my training. Who wouldn't want to get fit in the fresh air of an outdoor environment? Its a win win for me! Timo knows his stuff, and isn't afraid to share it! He is super professional and goes to great lengths to accomodate my busy schedule. He also takes great care of the hygiene and condition of his equipment, such an important measure in these uncertain times.

I've been training with Timo in my local and picturesque Rushcutters Bay Park for about 2 years now. Before I started training with him, I had fallen onto lazy times, rarely exercising and not eating particularly well. Since training with Timo, I have lost about 10kg, improved my fitness and started a healthier approach to life both with nutrition, as well as exercise I also do on the side. Timo's approach is to encourage a healthy, but also enjoyable life, with good humour while also being very flexible with the demands of modern life. He'll even show you a magic trick or two if you ask nicely!

I have always enjoyed going to the gym but I had a COVID hangover and needed to lose some weight. By committing to the accountability and motivation of a program, to help me eat well, exercise consistently and drink less, I was able to drop 8 kilos off the right areas without losing it from the wrong areas. I got fitter, stronger and healthier. Timo is a great trainer who really tailors a program to your needs, he is flexible with your busy lifestyle, friendly and professional. I would highly recommend Timo for your personal trainer.

During my training for a long endurance alpine cycle event, I wanted to build in some strength training for my core / arms. Unexperienced and not knowing where and how to start, I started doing sessions with Timo. He exceeded my expectations with his professional approach and exactly understanding my needs. Timo is not only giving you exercises, but also explains in a clear manner why we are doing the exercise. Initially I thought we only had to focus on core/arms, given I was riding already c. 4 times a week and I could not have been more wrong. With a personalised and diverse full body plan (yes, including leg workouts) I am feeling stronger than ever and crushed my Alpine ride.
Post event, I'm still continuing with the sessions, as I feel it adds so much value to my overall fitness, but also to my mental well-being. I love the outdoor training (including a wet proof spot for when it rains) and the conversations we have each week! I could not recommend anyone better than Timo!

We have been doing twice weekly strength sessions with Timo for a year. Always a solid work out which clears the mind and continues to challenge! Timo is a great communicator who has been flexible when we have had to travel for work at short notice etc. Highly recommend!

Timo is one of the most genuine trainers you can ever meet. His approach to training means you never feel intimidated or a lack of confidence with your exercise. Timo is a holistic trainer which has had wonders for me and my journey so far, especially with my anxiety. Timo has helped transform who I am as a person - from me having no confidence to me now having no fear of working out around the park. He always goes above and beyond proving that he is genuinely invested in his clients health and overall well-being. Throughout Sydney's Covid-19 restrictions, I trained twice-weekly with Timo Topp at his outdoor location in the parkland at Rushcutters Bay. Timo was an excellent mentor and coach. He devised an exercise program that took into account my older age while challenging me to expand my physical limits.

Timo is a fitness expert of longstanding. He leads by example. He is passionate about his profession. He offers friendly but firm encouragement in the attainment of goals both in exercise and in diet. He is the author of a clearly structured guide to exercise and healthy living which is also the philosophical underpinning of his program of outdoor training.

Timo is highly experienced and has an excellent range of exercises and equipment for whatever skill level you are at. If you want a personal trainer you couldnt ask for anyone better

I decided to train with Timo when the Pandemic started.

We all know that feeling of lack of motivation and the desire to be outdoor - when your entire day is being stuck on a chair.
Timo crafted what I would define a 360' workout experience, from bespoke exercises all the way to breathing and how to stand on a queue to get those abs engaged.

Love getting out in the park to train, and even when the weather is not great the feeling you get when breathing fresh air is unbeatable.

Highly recommended!

I have never needed a personal trainer before. I've exercised a lot in the past, but the truth was I was stuck. I'd reached my mid-50's and I was struggling with injures and frustrated by what I could achieve. Three months into training with Timo it's a different story. I am making consistant progress, I'm starting to feel fitter and more confident. I love going to these workouts and Timo makes it fun. He's super well informed about exercise science and he gives me realistic goals and new exercises to mix it up and work my brain. Plus we train in the best place in the world!

My wife and I started out over weight and over 40 and also very unmotivated. Timo was patient yet to the point and we have enjoyed his program immensely. He has kept us accountable, and our diet and exercise regime has changed dramatically under his guidance. Thanks to Timo we have a new lease on life.

As a management consultant, working 12-14 hours per day I have a demanding schedule and carry a bag of stress. This kind of lifestyle means my fitness and weight goes up and down, One of the managing factors to keep exercise and wellbeing front and centre is a personal trainer.

Timo has sustained me. I feel great, levelled and fit. He understands the busy corporate life and offers flexibility and valuable tips on lifestyle, stress and diet. Highly recommend.
