Had our selection appointment with Lyndal yesterday. I felt very confident and empowered with my decisions as Lyndal was very customer focused, passionate and knowledgeable. She went above and beyond to provide advice and assistance. She is an asset to Thynk! She inspired me so much, that I am taking the time to write a review. Thank you lyndal!:)

Thynk Group are independent suppliers and installers of tiles for Clarendon Homes. Their products although look ok from a distance and how they are displayed, upon install the quality is very poor and cheaply manufactured. Tiles they pass off as high end are cheap, full of defects and vary greatly in finish to the display tiles. In all cases of my install the glaze was not adequate to hide the biscuit edge which especially on white tiles makes the finish look dirty and cheap. The installation itself was completed by Chengguo Che License number 257394C to which the finish was some of the worst tiling I have seen. Grout lines were not matched, wall tiles were finished too short from the floor leading to excess fill needed to seal joins, the fall to the shower drain was not correct leading to puddling which they attempted to rectity on 3 occasions before the fall was corrected by another tiler. Shower and floor drains were not installed in accordance with the installation guide. Tiles were laid with chips and inconsistent grout widths.

Absolutely terrible experience. Everything after the tile selection process (which was great) has been problems like delays and excuses, not listening, not answering, not delivering. They made the project so much harder than it should have been.

If you are looking for some tiles - fancy, unique, and high quality product, this place is a right place.

When this place was used for the Tile Direct, staffs used to be friendly, welcoming, and very helpful.

However.you may feel that somehow staffs are too busy with their work to take care of you looking around designs unless you have an appointment.

So appointment is required in advance if you may need any help and consultation from staffs.

We used Thynk as part of our building process and I can't praise them enough for their professionalism, guiding us through the selection process and not rushing us as my wife and I wanted to make sure we ended up with a modern look. Sarah S was an absolute God-send, we can't recommend her highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to go back to Thynk in the future.

Please avoid them. If your Builder wants you to use them as a vendor take credit from your Builder and find product from other vendors. They will not assist to find your tiles and will never respond to your queries once sales process is completed. They are professionally unprofessional.

Due to covid it is appointment only. Appointment was on time and the staff (Sarah C) Seven Hills was very helpful and knowledgeable. Excellent range was available and I would not hesitate to hire her as our interior designer any given day She made choosing tiles for our house a very smooth process with exceptional customer service skills and helped us with colour matchings. Take home samples were also provided.

Tile Direct was our builder’s tile provider. There is plenty of variety in the standard range and one can easily stay within budget that way. While the build is yet to start. I just wanted to write a review for Sarah who was just outstanding as our consultant. She gave us an extra hour without rushing us while guiding us through the dos and donts and providing her style opinions. She made the appointment enjoyable and I feel quite confident about our selections.

Worst craftsmanship ever. Their tilers don’t read instructions. Uses wrong tiles for flooring. Uses chipped tiles which needed to be replaced. Applies wrong colour gout. Then, when chipped tiles got replaced, they broke our mirror without telling us. Now we have to raise another service request with a different supplier.

How can Clarendon homes use them as a contractor and service provider. There is no duty of care in their workers. Do not use tiles direct. They will waste your time and you will be disappointed! We are totally outraged!

Tiles Direct were appointed by our builder. First impressions weren’t great; they didn’t really cater for walk ins and didn’t get any service on our first visit. Things only got better from there once understanding the process. The quality of tiling has been fantastic for us, so happy with a job well done.

The Tiling done by Tile Direct made a huge difference to the bathroom and home and the quality of work was excellent; We had some minor issue and this was resolved very efficiently and what I found was that Tile Direct was willing to work with us to resolve any our concerns. In our situation they went above and beyond and all the tilers and reception staff as well as Lecia kept me updated throughout the process. The main thing that help as well was our attitude towards Tile Direct and knowing that some things can't be fixed overnight, there sometimes can be mistakes and giving them enough time to get supplies and to arrange the contractors to come to site. We also knew that people are not perfect and mistakes can be made and to allow Tile Direct to make good any issues depending where the fault lies.

My advice for anyone using tile direct is:

1) Make sure your builder explains what you will be getting before agreeing to your tiles. (cost and options)

2) Be very clear as to what you want from the start with Tile Direct after doing your initial show room visits.

3) Don't change your mind or design after approval or after tiles have been ordered. (amended orders caused us all sorts of problems) - if you chose the wrong tiles, live with it, in a six months you'll get us to it and in a year you won't notice it.

4) When tiles or material arrive at site, and if possible, it doesn't hurt to double check that it is correct in quantity and style.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They made our design selection not only easy but enjoyable and insightful too. Thank you the studio is filled with a huge amount of options but it is clearly defined and priced on the spot what is a standard option and what each option costs.

Amazing people that really listened and helped with every step. Our Builder uses Tile Direct and so we went to choose our tiles for our new home. Had an amazing experience and found it easy with the help of the staff.

Worst customer service. Staff are extremely rude, lazy and unprofessional. Showroom is a mess. The manager Mel herself is rude and lazy.
No body cares about customers.
HOPELESS!

Worst worst service. No sense of responsibility by anyone at the studio. Reception staff keeps munching on chips rather than answering questions. The shop is soo unorganised. Shame Rawson had them as their tile supplier. We were given hard time finalising our tiles. Highly disappointed. Most unprofessional, unfriendly, arrogant, LAZY staff.
Terrible terrible service!

Very nice, Friendly and Helpful staff but very poor policy.
I was not happy with their service.they were charging me a fortune for minor changes for grout colour which is ridiculous. And their library is very messy.no names on the tiles in library and you should try each to match the tiles in library to the tiles hanging on the wall.
