Tian Ci Vegan

Delicious food - I haven't tried anything here that I haven't loved. The staff are incredibly kind and accomodating - we love the way that they always bring out complementary 'prawn' crackers and fruit. Would highly recommend!

Plant-based Chinese food simple, tasty, cute restaurant, professional wait staff dressed in uniform, polite, friendly and very very clean. Best fried ice cream in Sydney. Great to see Chinese meat free!

Lovely quaint vegan cantonese resto. Extensive menu of veggies, tofu, faux meats, rice and noodles, several good hot pots. Friendly service. Quick meal preparation. Nothing to complain about.

The best food and service in the area! We either eat in or get takeaway once a week, and every single item is incredible.

I have been there many times with my families and friends because the food is yummy and the service is nice, even the fruit before the meal is free. This is really a good place for vegans, will be back again.

This was my 2nd visit to Tian Ci - a friend and I popped in for lunch. The place was absolutely packed (clearly loved by the local Chinese community, it's a dead giveaway that the food in this place is authentic and delicious) so they took our number and said the wait shouldn't be too long. And they were right, about 10 minutes later, a staff member popped her head out of the door and waved us in from the shady spot outside we were waiting in.

The interior is quite plain and unassuming, minimal decoration and basic seating and tables. It would be easy to walk past the restaurant after glimpsing through the window.

But if you did walk past, you'd regret it.

The staff are wonderful. The first time I visited, it wasn't busy and the staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the dishes on the menu. And when the restaurant was full of people and there was a slight air of controlled chaos, the staff were just as before, not stressed, not rushing us and opening and closing the front door for customers.

The food. Wow. The food is phenomenal. I've been plant based for 5 years now and apart from a rather expensive place in London, I've not found a good Chinese restaurant that caters purely for vegans/vegetarians. The variety is massive - there are plenty of classic dishes; chicken satay, chow mein, roast duck that have been converted to plant based using fake meats. If you're not a fan of fake meat, plenty of their dishes are packed with veggies and use tofu to fill the gap left by meat. The lemon chicken is a MUST try - made with tofu skin.

The portions are fantastic, the service is diligent yet respectful and the food itself is served very quickly and is uncompromising in flavour.

Makes me sad that I live in Auckland.

Go and support this wonderful little place. Eat everything.

Vegan Chinese food at its best. Non vegans will love this food too. It is great value for money. The staff are so friendly - they even offer extra Chinese crackers and fruit with every meal. There is a lovely peaceful garden out the back of the restaurant. There are so many items on the menu. We ordered a lot of food together and I thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. The service is prompt. I definitely highly recommend going to this place.

This food was so delicious and smelt so amazing we forgot to take photos. Absolutely incredible service and food. A lovey homely restaurant with good quality food for a good price! Will be back!

Very nice authentic vegan food for a reasonable price. Sadly however…

as a celiac the lack of gluten free dishes is very disappointing, and frankly almost rude.every dish has soya sauce or gluten batter, and the only alternative they offer is the removal of soya or batter on specific dishes, which takes a great toll on the overall flavor of the dish.

Gluten free Tamari soya sauce is not expensive. And an alternate batter option such as rice flour or tapioca is also affordable and very common in modern asian restaurants.

It pains me to give such a low review to such a cute wholesome family business, I live in the area and if more options were available i would eat here regularly.

But i left feeling unsatisfied and very frustrated that my experience was hindered by my illness.

Please think about those suffering from allergies, properly label which dishes are gluten free, and consider the many many other options that can be offered

An absolute gem, I cannot describe just how wonderful this place is. The food is amazing and so incredibly tasty. Decent portion sizes. Give it a try, you definitely won't be disappointed.

Every dish was beautifully cooked and so enjoyable to have - lots of standouts.
Staff were attentive and very pleasant.
