THYNK Cafe + Bar

Always good service, a good cup of coffee and a smile. I travel to Newcastle often from Sydney and this is always my stop for a Cappuccino. I’m always greeted with a smile. Highly recommend

What great place to stop at the end of the Sydney to North Coast freeway, or on tour return trip to the big smoke. Dog friendly outdoor area. Nice coffee and snacks available. Didn’t try breakfast or lunch as we were on our way back to Sydney from Port Macquarie. Will def come again, makes a nice stop for us and the dog instead of the petrol station/truck stop/fast food where there is no outdoor seating.

Quite busy on a Monday morning around 8am. Service was quick. The downside is the pricing. An extra $1 for soy or almond milk. Eggs on toast $12, eggs benedict (actually eggs florentine) ie add a few spinach leaves (not sautéed) and a splash of sauce virtually flavourless sauce another $7.50 If you want ham or smoked salmon add another $7.00. So $26.50 for what normally sells around the $19 -$20 mark.

A very industrial and modern style to the place but the food was cooked beautifully and the coffee tasted great.

I will be back for more again.

Wonderful staff. Great Coffee, Magic food and relaxing atmosphere. If you want to keep places like this open in Thornton please visit and check them out.

A worthwhile stop off the highway if you want to relax and enjoy some better than average quality food and coffee. Nice outdoor lounges and uncluttered inside tables. We had brekky wraps with actual potato rather than the usual deep fried fair. I had the other half for lunch.

Have driven past here a few times decided to stop in today and sooo glad we did.

Food was mediocre, value for money? Nah, I don't think so.
Eggs Benedict is normally served with either smoked ham or smoked salmon! Partner was asked if she wanted bacon, she said no, so they put no meat on it whatsoever!
Cleaner must've had the night off, as the floors needed a sweep and mop.
Food crumbs under the glass table covers.
Once we, and other customers moved away from front counter after placing and paying for orders, the 2 girls working decided to jump on their phones, only to put them away when service was called for delivery of coffee and/or food.
Sadly, we will not be revisiting!

Went for the first time last Saturday to meet a client and have breakfast. Food was yummy and awesome service and clean cafe. Definitely going again.

Won't be back.first time trying for a quick lunch.ordered a salad and chicken snitzel burger.currently still waiting half an hour later.restaurant is extremely empty with no reason to take this long for food. Cafe is in an industrial area so should understand the need to provide prompt service.very poor experience.

Good things come to those who wait. I have driven past THYNK Cafe + Bar at Beresfield a number of times wanting to give it a try but timing never permitted But great news, they are open Saturday!

Amazing coffee which I enjoyed on there spacious deck, with my son who approved also of their milkshake and Banana Bread.

Looking forward to returning to the friendly staff and trying their breakfast and lunch menu.

Honestly a bit of a disappointing experience. Came here with business colleagues for a quiet professional catchup over afternoon tea, they didn't have any coke no sugar which was a bit disappointing, especially on top of the fact their keto options were limited to the most expensive items on the menu, I couldn't even get a drink! The worst part was 20mins into our afternoon tea staff or folks in Thynk labelled clothing started piling in to the cafe rolling in crates of spirits and set up a marketing success presentation and were cheering and clapping loudly while myself and my colleagues where two table spaces away. It felt very uncomfortable and unprofessional to have what was clearly an internal meeting happening in their public spaces. We felt very intrusive and were unable to hear at times due to the loudness of their meeting. Not to mention a lady chose the moment we sat down at our table to change the light bulb directly behind us even though it was 2pm and very bright and sunny out. Not a great vibe, would not go there again.

Coffee here is excellent. Rolls and Wraps are slightly pricey but they are excellent quality.
