The Wollombi Tavern

Rode down with a couple mates today for the first time and wow if you haven't stopped in do yourself a favour such an awesome atmosphere and really friendly staff outstanding

Love this place. Renovated to perfection. It's a fantastic place to have a cold beer and watch all the bikes roll in, and the food is 5 star

I can’t fault the food, it’s was pretty incredible, so tasty but the service was so slow & unorganised!
We waiting 45 mins for 2 burgers and chips, there was like 1 person cooking for the Easter long weekend while the others were out wiping tables that weren’t dirty or having a chat with their mates?
Also someone needs to take a look at the responsible service of alcohol at this place, the amount of people of their face at 2pm was DISGUSTING, they were loud, making racist remarks, and swearing but their locals right? So who cares? Not the staff at the Wollombi Tavern.
Not to mention is was FULL of children and they just let these guys keep drinking.

It was not the country town I was expecting, no one nice and welcoming but the guy who took our order.
Very disappointing.

A wonderful location to watch the sun go down and enjoy a beer or two.

The food is great value, with a wide choice. I recommend the open steak burger.

Thanks to all the staff for a really relaxing afternoon.

We had a lovely day at Wollombi tavern the meal was beautiful I hadn't been out there for years and our son and daughter in-law took us out for a drive she wanted to look up relatives at the cemetery so it was a lovely day ️

Great little countryside tavern, good fora day bike ride out, even camping and lovely customer service beautiful locals, food was great, beers cold music fantastic

How could you not love sitting on the veranda or reading about dr Jurds jungle juice and trying it, if your game enough great little place for a drop in

Busy and bustly, but nice quick service from friendly staff. Sat out on the main road and had a few drinks, lovely spot.

Loved the service, after a taste of Dr Jurd's jungle juice had to indulge in one. Location was enjoyable.

So good to sit back and listen to some live music again while enjoying our lunch. Great lil place, will be back

Great food! The bikkies are a pain. It is like they own the place. It can be a bit intimidating getting past them. You have wonder why they find a need to stand on the footpath right near the door. We enjoyed the burgers. Granddaughter wants to go back already for the Hawaiian Burger. Pleasant service too.

The Tavern lives up to its indigenous name "Wollombi" meaning meeting place. Great drinks, food and a great atmosphere. People and dog friendly.

Had a great lunch at Wollombi Tavern. Very historic pub in a great old town. Recommended a visit if your in the area.

Just a short scenic drive south of Cessnock is country heaven at the Wollombi Tavern. Eat, drink and absorb the relaxing views from their rustic deck. The staff are very welcoming, the food is fantastic and the beer and wine cold. One of our favourite places to ride or drive to. You will want to come back.

Beautiful drive to Wollombi Tavern. The food is typical pub fare with good prices. You can sit along the balcony undercover or go out into the garden area under the shade of the trees or not. Plenty of places for kids to run and play. Has a great camping spot that is flat, grassed and near a little creek with trees abound.
The little town has lovely shops with plenty of history. Great relaxed day out

It's always nice coming here for a beer. The pub is awesome. Seeing all the bikes and nice cars is always cool too.

I just wish they'd up the ante on the food game. It's always disappointing. For the price of it, it could be so much better.

Just a wonderful place with fantastic staff, delicious food & reasonable prices.
Plenty of room for my grandchildren to play & enjoy themselves.
I truly can't wait to go back again.
There is also easy access for people with disabilities that can't be seen too.
Highly, highly recommended!

Called in for a quiet few schooners.

Quick service Coopers was cold. Sat out in the sun at the front and just enjoyed the location.
