The Tops Conference Centre reviews
42 Comfortable group accommodation set in a lovely bush setting.
Our facility had a well-equipped kitchen, but was a little short of bathroom facilities.
Beautiful location but highly advise you to bring extra blankets as the comforters provided are nowhere near enough to keep guests warm when it's cold, and they also looked and felt pretty dirty so they obviously do not get washed alot.
The food was also not very exciting and pretty plain, the panacotta for desert on the second night tasted mostly like butter, so I also advise bringing your own food or getting takeaway.
Also they do not provide soap in the bathrooms so bring your own soap!
The location is beautiful, the rooms need to be updated, very old except the lodge and in-front of it. The main concern is hot food bar especially for breakfast. The scramble eggs not good at all, the bread is like rubbers. They need to change people in the kitchen and training properly how to make and cook for breakfast.
If they can improve it, sure more people will impressed.
The facilities look nice and my kid enjoy the event. The chairs in the auditorium is extremely old and dirty. Maybe worth to invest in the hard product as COVID is now over and it will be busier than ever.
Brilliant venue for church weekend away.
Very modern, well appointed rooms and meeting rooms. Great food.
I would definitely go back if the opportunity arises in the future.
I had 40 year 9s camped here for one night Duke of Ed. Staff were super friendly, organisation in the lead up was a breeze. Facilities well looked after.
Beds were not very good! Good if you wanted to get shaken up at night! You would not want a dog on the top bunk with flees or he or she would shake you up like a milkshake lol! The food was ok just above hospital food! Could do with some new ideas for the breakfast lunch and dinner! The young lady who taught us how to try out the bow and arrows was patient with men and great at teaching us we enjoyed her teaching and experience! Some of the men would definitely recommend her as a guide for the flying fox! She was I could nearly say Excalibur excellent dear Marion from the Sherwood Forest! One of the men even got a bullseye pretty good I must say! We enjoyed our time together and the new facilities! I remember coming here with my wife about 32 years ago now when a friend of ours used to run the place so it has changed for the good after the bush fires! And when we saw the deer signs we were in heaven we hoped to soot one for our dinner would go down beautifully on the BBQ we have had plenty of practice at shooting deer and eating them so we were excited about the deer but of coarse it on the door step of the National park and we should join the shooter fisher and farmers party for a party and celebration for the wild life birds and deer pigs rabbits foxes ducks swans pheasants geese! We stayed at Kirribilli lodge BBQ we did not even get time to fire it up but we did have a fire and the young ladies were very accommodating with the people men marshmallows chips chocolate drinks! With the prime minister for the world Jesus Christ and His Father and the Holy Spirit of Jesus and the Word of God the bible and we had a great time with the speakers and just being men! Lovely bush setting on top of the escarpment and I really enjoyed the drive through the coast road back towards Wollongong but you have to get out of the car and enjoy a walk through the cliff bridge over the sea and cliffs and the lovely beach on the way and stopping off at Fairy Medow at Papas for cafe latte hot with chocolate sprinkles on top and a Sfogliatella definitely delicious but the service was a bit slow that day! Or you can drop into some antique stores or many cafes and the Fraternity club for dinner and dancing again! Beautiful children can play soccer!
Head kitchen staff knowledgeable and happy to answer my many questions before our son attended school camp over a 3 day period and requiring a strict gluten free diet. Really good GF options available to him and in most cases was the same food provided to other students. Thank you!
Great location for a camp or conference. Accomodation is nice. Plenty of different breakout rooms and spaces. And fun things to do around the site.
The food here is tastier than at any other conference centre! The staff are always so delightful too!
This place couldn't be more on the middle of nowhere if it tried! If you don't like being surrounded by bushland, don't go. Accommodation was quite good - several beds in one room, with ensuite. You bring your own bed linen. And they don't supply soap in the bathroom, so bring that too. The meals are excellent, and as much tea and coffee as you like.
Great conference facility suitable for variety of special events - large capacity, quality equipment & very helpful staff.
Went here a couple years ago on a school camp, and it was pretty based. Although I almost died on those pedal go kart things when I flipped over on a turn, and there were leeches everywhere, including the shower. The food was alright, and their facilities were pretty good, and most of the people working there were pretty nice.
Ideal conference venue: secluded but not too far from a major centre, top-notch facilities and much in terms of leisure activities. Heaps of space.
Third year of attending Retreats at The Tops and had a great time as usual. The location beautiful, the facilities amazing and the food always the same menu and usually delicious but just had to say how very disappointed at the execution this time.possibly a new chef!
It was sooo good i went to it with my school mates and it was soo fun and Dylan was very respectful and helpful i will never forget that fun!
Witnessed a Mass for 170 highschool students plus 10 teachers from the prominent kogarah marist college absolutely divine
They gave some of the kids food poisoning (because some of the chicken was undercooked), the walls are thin as paper, the rooms smelt, and there were tons of leaches.though it was for a school trip, i will never go here again.
Great excursion venue for schools. Great food, activities and staff. Beautiful scenery in a very natural setting. Very pleased.
Great place for school camps. Had a wide variety of activities to do like survivor, giant swing, cart racing, archery and more.
