The Smith Family - National Office reviews
7A reputable organisation that works to truly break the cycle of disadvantage by investing in Australian children’s education. Happy to be a supporter and to donate towards this charity.
Don't like the Save the children take over in the retail stores.
Not the same anymore.
Wil not shop here again-the retail op shop stores were much better when they were the Smith family.
Not only that my local store used to be so much fun to shop in. Now the lovely Smith family store ladies have gone and replaced. The items are much more expensive-you can buy new shirts in retail stores for the prices Save the Children are charging! No point shopping there anymore. Very disappointed especially that the old staff have gone.
Lost its way and values as a traditional charity long ago. The people who now run it are more concerned with their status, salaries and careers, than the people they are suppose to be helping. After many, many long years of service, they closed down the clothing donations and retail stores, as the second hand clothing business wasn't viewed as spectacular enough for the high flyers who now run this corporation.
After visiting their office for the first time I learned that the people here are friendly, caring and have a mindset of constant process improvement.
Helped me many times in the 80s and early 90s when I was young and on the streets so now I donate when I can
The details on the website are not correct. It took me ages to get a load of clothing to their donation containers sydney cbd, just to find out they are not accepted/doesn’t exists anymore.
Love and respect the work of this children’s charity above all others. Do it, sponsor a child!
