Amazing food! We had the half chicken, Korean fried chicken, green beans and garden salad. Everything was exceptional. Highly rated. The garden area for dining is beautiful. Worth the visit.

Wonderful food venue with Boutique shop. So good we stop everytime we drive to Sydney/Melbourne. Sadly the bakery is no more.

Always a lovely stop on the road between Sydney and Wagga, for lunch, or just a coffee and a loo stop, or to pick up a fresh loaf of bread (fruit loaf is delish!).
We had the ceviche and the fish burger this time.
A gorgeous venue - tastefully done with lots of trees out in the courtyard.

Very disappointing - was promised by a staff member our $550 voucher had been extended for 12 months so we didn’t rush to use. Upon calling to book a night away have been told the person no longer works there and this would never have been true. They will not be honouring any vouchers from “previous ownership”. So Thankyou to our friends for the very thoughtful voucher and no thanks to sir George for actually not honouring their hard earned money that was spent. Won’t be spending another cent here again.

On the Hume Highway - a great place to stop and break the journey. Jugiong is a pretty town and the shop and pub have great food and wine and ambiance.

Beautiful lunch (Haloumi burger) and coffee, very covid safe because you can sit outside and order from a gadget on the table, beautiful surroundings and architecture.

A destination food and dining experience. Lamb and dark ale pot pies were enjoyed by many in our group as was the inhouse hand made pork and fennel, sausages. The best decision was starting with the Duck liver paté. Tumut Ginger beer and other craft beer helped was it down. The real surprise was the 2017 Shiraz from local vineyard Trandari. Well worth the drive from Canberra. Could be worth entertaining an overnight stay. Great to be able to order and pay via QR code at our table. Very courteous and helpful staff. We will be back.

The pub has great interiors, good selection of beer and local wines. The food is excellent! A good choice from a printed menu and then there are blackboard specials. One or two vegetarian options - I didn't ask but I wouldn't be surprised if they could adapt some of their offerings to vego, especially if you give them some notice. Great food
Highly recommended. Definitely a destination pub!

Nice place to visit, the southern fried chicken burger and the chicken schnitzel were excellent. Seems reasonably priced and a nice clean venue with a genuine rustic feel. Has a little homewares shop upstairs.

An excellent variety of wine and beer in very classy and elegant surroundings. An excellent place to go for a picturesque drive just outside Canberra. The menu caters for all tastes and the food is exceptional. Highly recommend this little gem hidden away just off the Hume highway. Do yourself a flavour!

The Sir George hotel is a fantastic venue to visit for a beautiful meal any time of the day. I had my birthday lunch there and was very impressed with staff, food & environment. They also have a specialty gift ware shop where you can spoil yourself if you wish.

I stopped for lunch while traveling. I want to bring the family here for an afternoon, or perhaps a stay over.
I chose chicken terrine from the specials board. It was a well laid out, adequately sized, and tasty serve.
Well done.

Beautiful old pub with lovely grounds. An extensive menu - we ordered four different lunches and all were delicious. Great flexibility to allow our dog in to the garden too.

Nice food (zucchini fritters, lamb souvlaki, Angus steak burger, fat chips), lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, fast service and a pretty bloody good Reschs. (Lunch 9/7/2021)

This has to be one of my absolute favourite weekend escapes ever! The perfect spot to switch off for a weekend with everything you need. Delicious brekkie brought to your room, high end amenities, gorgeous interiors and landscaping, yummy food, lovely gift shop and you must get yourself a jam donut! Can't wait to return.

Amazing place to sit in or out. They have a small dog friendly area under the beautiful shady trees. We ordered the soft crab burger and chicken burger with a pint of capital pale ale each. Food was to die for, good chips and ordering on the app worked well and avoided the queue inside. Food isn't cheap but is worth it. The pub itself is gorgeous and well worth a look around inside.
