The Salvation Army - William Booth House reviews
16 No Jesus here ohhhhh without our great Lord, there is only fake Love of the World and no real Truth
I pray your Hearts soften and the True Christ of one True Bible opens your Eyes xxxx Halleluyah
Without True Love we r nothing!
Have fear of God not Man
Very grateful to have been given a chance at turning it all around at WBH.
No one else was able to at the time I needed as the system is overwhelmed with people who need and want help.
Thanks WBH
My son is in this place its great place just don't abuse your privileges otherwise your out on the street, there are in house rules u have to follow them of course, but all in all its a great place. They do alot for everyone u just have to do the right thing yourself if u want enjoy all the benefits & get better.
Excellent detox and rehab in Surry Hills, Sydney, Aus. I went to Billy Booth in about 1988, it was fantastic. I had a really good time there, meeting lots of great people and making friends. Lots to do to keep your mind off other (bad) things.
After the hospital floor stay they sent me to "Miricle Haven" the farm at Morisset, man I had such a good time there. ALL DRUG FREE! I highly recommend this place for recovery? Thanks Billy Booth.
Incredible organisation, great ppl with compassion and empathy and we should support them as they support so many others on so many worthwhile causes.
The salvation army is all about profit there are not a non for profit organization rember that all they care all about is your money not your recovery
This rehab facility has amazing support for clients, I know as I am one. The rehab is a duel diagnosis facility. Not just a typical 12 step program. This program offers a more multidisciplinary approach to recovery. Program consists of traditional 12 step program and meetings primarily, but also focus on psychological therapy to treat the mental health aspects of addiction.
The best thing I’ve ever done was walk through the doors. William Booth House saved my life and I’m happy to say I’m 2 years clean and still going strong. Thank you so much to all the staff for giving me my life back!
My experience of this program spans 20 yrs. I can no longer in clear conscience recommend it to anybody serious about recovery. It’s really gone down the drain in the last 5 yrs. No integrity in what they value and how they treat participants. I’m really saddened. No way does this reflect my views towards the S. A, it’s the employees at the reigns.
Very good place for recovering from addiction. Did a shade sail on the roof for the smoking area. Salvation Army is there for all. Places like this help people in need.
My experience of Salvos as a whole and in Tasmania does NOT reflect my experience of William Booth in NSW, which treated me with coldness, arrogance and not only was the receptionist rude for no reason, worse one of the counsellors Tim was also rude, unhelpful n unkind.
This is supposed to be a Salvo Officer responsible for detox intake. Counsellors like him are one of the reasons users don't seek treatment n they end up dying, usually a long, slow n painful death, either that or they end up in jail or a psych ward.
I was dying and very close to it when I rang them for help on the advice of my counsellor in Tasmania who used to work for the Salvation Army. I don't recommend anyone ring this place now. It's a joke
If you struggle with addiction, have lost your way, can't find a way out. The Salvation Army can help.
No systems in place for when you leave.
Services within establishment decreasing e.g. There used to be employment services visiting, now there isn't.
And more of that decrease is happening.
Some do not, but lots re-use and come back, there is not even a phone call after you leave to conduct a follow up.
Food is of poor quality and also full of cholesterol.
This place served it's purpose but the Salvo' s in general DO NOT care for anything else, but their own agenda.
One fine rehab. However, detox elsewhere. Their "detox" isn't one. You have been warned.
Jesus for the world and world for Jesus! I went there to purchase some clothes.for just around 8$ everything, I am a happy buyer
